Exactly

Also great insight from Elliot Friedman this morning on the Fan - When asked what was the most surprising (headshaker) signing...he said Wideman and when asked about the Garrison signing, he said he wasn't surprised cause he had 16 goals last year...Sheldon Souray anyone?

Anyway guys like that and others at TSN who have zero experience working in the NHL or even playing in the NHL - have zero credit - if they were that good they'd wouldn't be in the media

Well you pretty much know what you are getting with Wideman. The gamble is on him being a good fit and remaining productive. Garrison is the one who has upside and uncertainty over the type of player he is.

There is no uncertainty with players who played well in Florida and then come over to the West - they suck

There's definately merit to this especially the Southeast division. It's definately easier to accumulate points in the Southeast division and moving to say a more talented team in the Western Conference doesn't automatically mean more or the same production as Ballard and Booth have already proven in Vancouver and Jokinen and Bouwmeester in Calgary. It's also no coincidence that Campbell just regained his offensive prowess after going back to the Eastern conference.

Is Jay Garrison the highest paid player in the league if you use a total career NHL games to salary ratio?

I can't think of any players with less experience making similar money - goalies excluded.

Campbell had an assist on 10 of Garrision's 16 goals.
