They didn't show up for tonights game. A step behind the Flames all night and no answer for the Flames great efforts of clogging up the neutral zone. I would bet Darryl would be reading the riot act.

Doughty lays lumber all night, catches an elbow and cries after the game. Doughty is, and always has been, a baby.

Great game, Flames were in control almost the whole game. LA had a few pushes but they just don't feel like they are creating a lot of dangerous offensive chances even when they have zone time.
Elliott wasn't tested that much but he sure looked solid when he was.
Gaudreau was great. He's so quick and it's a pleasure to watch him make plays out there. Him and Monahan were dialed in tonight.
The Tkachuk play was pretty dirty but I'm in the camp where it's more of a 2 minute penalty than a potential suspension. They were battling like crazy that shift and I think that Tkachuk was definitely taking a shot at him but probably didn't expect it to catch him right on the chin. I guess we'll see...
Stone had some solid defensive plays tonight and that was a great shot on his goal!
Flames looked great. Even Chiasson had a good game on the top line after struggling mightily in the same role earlier in the year. Keep rolling boys!

Stone has 5 points in 10 games as a Flame, as if being a perfect RH defensive compliment to Brodie wasn't enough.
What a pick up by BT.

I feel like Minnesota has been pretty bad over the last say 10-15. Not sure though, just feel like they've been doing a whole lot of win one lose one, so pretty surprised to see then on this list.

Ty Cobb: Well, I figure against today's pitchers I'd only probably hit about .290
Louis Prima: .290? Well that's amazing, because you batted over .400 a... a whole bunch of times. Now tell us all, we'd all like to know, why do you think you'd only hit .290?
Ty Cobb: Well, I'm 72 ####ing years old you ignorant son of a bitch.

Totally. Tkachuk and Doughty were battling all game and in the seconds leading up to the elbow. I suspect Tkachuk was anticipating Doughty coming at him with the cross check as is usual in board battles and wanted to be a bit proactive to keep Doughty back and protect some space. He just got the elbow up too early and caught Doughty by surprise. When those things time out properly, they're savvy veteran type moves. When they don't time out properly, they can be bad and deserving of punishment. That's life.
