On the managers row:

Quote:
"He refereed the game," Ferguson said of Mancini. "He was out on that touchline the whole game haranguing the referee, the fourth official and the linesmen. The minute I come off the bench for a bad tackle by De Jong on Welbeck, he was out again. He can't have it both ways. He's been complaining about referees this season but he won't be complaining tonight that's for sure."
For those like myself: haranguing - Lecture (someone) at length in an aggressive and critical manner.

Lose 1-0 without a shot on target? Blame refs.

And why wouldnt Mancini 'harangue' the refs? Fergie himself has proven that it works.

The only reason Fergie wasnt doing the exact same thing is because his team couldnt get anywhere near the box to beg for a penalty.

Fergie's team selection was poor, he went for the draw and, while he almost got it, it was a terrible decision.

he's the master at it and whenever it doesn't go his way he acts like a spoiled child who finally didn't get his way

he over thought the game, he should have played it normally, instead he though City would go all out attack and United could counter them

playing Park over Valencia in the most important game of the season makes no sense

Something I noticed over the weekend.....

What is with Stoke's fans booing every time Ramsey touched the ball? Ramsey was the recipient of one of the worst tackles I have ever seen and had his leg snapped like a twig. It is a miracle the kid was able to return from that injury, why boo him? Is it just sour grapes because Shawcross gets booed by Arsenal fans? I don't like Arsenal fans getting on Shawcross, as the guy was completely devastated after the injury. He was bawling like a school girl and had to be consoled by his goalie (Sorensen?). Yes, it was a horrible tackle, but Shawcross is generally a clean player, let him move on.

As much as I like soccer and the big game like yesterday's, soccer fandom really turns me off at times. A sport this enjoyable should not be taken this seriously and be this ugly.

I didn't notice because I was too busy enjoying 28,000 people imitating Arsene Wenger throwing his arms up in the air

but if that's what the boo'ing is about it's idiotic, sadly it was only the second most idiotic boo'ing of the weekend after the Chelsea fans booed Anton Ferdinand for being the victim of racism

To the shock and surprise of absolutely no one, Liverpool lose at home.

They've got their mind on the FA cup and have totally bailed on the League.

Honestly one of the most entertaining things I have ever seen a fan base do.

Yep, I think the whole team was just mailing it in today. As soon as they were subbing off guys like Henderson and Kuyt while leaving Spearing and Maxi on, you knew that even Kenny was focusing more on the weekend than the game at hand.

At least Carroll played well in a pretty dismal game.

Maybe Webb will go out of his way to make it look like he's not a Man U fan and give City the run of the calls? Maybe? Yes? No?

Ah, who am I kidding, he'll have City down to 9 men at the interval.

Probably make Hart wear an eye patch or something, or maybe just throw his job to the wind and blindfold him.

he will just turn around anytime City get near the Newcastle penalty area

just let them play Rugby basically in there with plausible deniability because he "couldn't see it"

appoint Scholes and Giggs as the touchline officials as well
