I usually just say "down" preceded/followed by some level of course language, such as "Get the #### down" or "Settle down you ####er" or some such.

Yes Shrek, and they have to say it in some kind of Scottish accent too, which makes it even worse.

Played Wintergreen for the first time ever yesterday. Not a drop of rain during our round (teed off at 1:03). Drainage wise the course was about as good as could be expected after all the rain, very soggy and lots of fairway spots with puddles. Somehow I managed to avoid being in anything like that with my shots. Traps were tough, like hitting through heavy clay, cost me 4 strokes over the round. The greens were really nice, and were drying out as the round progressed.

Played from the whites and shot an 88, if I could take back 4 holes (two 8's and two 7's) I would have been closer to 80.

I had almost the round of my life yesterday. Played Water Valley and was even par through 9 when the rains came. Ended up with a rain check, but who knows if the magic will still be there. Ugh.

If it was the round of your life you should have continued on like the old man in Caddyshack.

Always in good shape. Great value. I've played my best and worst rounds on this course.

Have Predator (Ridge course) and Shannon Lake booked next week. Was debating between Predator and Tower.

Solid value, weekend fees with a cart are $90. And they offer specials throughout the week. It is an easy drive if you live in the south.

You won't be disappointed with The Ridge, spectacular views, not that tough on the scorecard.

Shannon Lake is OK but not great.

If you don't mind golfing in the heat,Towers twilight rate started at 1:00pm 4 yrs ago when I was there.$80.00 including cart.

Round of my life...so far. I'd like to at least give myself the chance to have a few more such rounds

Shouldn't feel so disheartened, total collapse on the back nine was probably imminent anyways.

Maybe I'll check out that twilight rate. We did choose Shannon since the low cost after spending more on Predator.
