Sorry for your loss Suzles, I can't even imagine when my dog passes away. I will be inconsolable, no doubt. It sounds like she had an awesome life. I get tears just reading everyone else's posts. Providing a great home the last years of their lives is a great and thank you for taking in an older cat.

When the cat needed it the most you were there. So sorry for your loss.

Peace be with your fuzzy friend, dissentowner. 14 years is a stellar run and I'm sure you provided as much love as they did.

Pets are true members of the family, and losing them can be devastating.
I'm very sorry for your loss, but I'm sure you were an outstanding owner. You were lucky to have them, and they were lucky to have you.

Hi CP, figured this was as good as a form as any to talk about this as I prefer to not to get into deeply personal things on most forms of social media. The wife and I just got back from bringing our old friend in to be put to sleep.
She was a healthy and happy dog until right near the end, over the past month or 2 she developed a tumor around the top of her snout between her eyes, I watched as it grew bigger and watched as she deteriorated slowly, yesterday she had constant blood flowing from her nose and into this morning. My girls in a better place now after close to 12 years of being the sweetest loving dog I've ever been so lucky to have in my life.
Give your pets a hug for me today. One love

Sorry to hear.
Had a bit of a scare yesterday, my cat had stopped eating and her mouth looked weird and swollen. Brought her in, it's probably an infection so gave her some antibiotics, pain killers and sub-cute fluids. She is doing a lot better today and eating. At 20, with kidney issues and weighing 1.5kg, any little thing is worrying.
I know she won't be around much longer, anything you guys wish you had a chance to do with your pet before they were gone? Not that I can, you know, take her to the Stampede or Vegas or anytihng....

Our pup Brandy was a Golden Retriever, she lived a pretty full life, wish I could have had one more summer to take her to the Shuswap and let her run around and swim, other than that no regrets.
Hope your kitty's going to be ok

Fire in the disco, I'm so sorry man. It sucks so bad but ultimately it's part of our duty as good pet owners to keep them from suffering.
