Default LF: Nintendo Switch

Looking to buy a full Nintendo Switch, not a Lite. I have a Lite already and want to be able to hook it up and play on a television. Don't want to deal with scammers on Kijiji or Marketplace. Thanks,

Try a reputable second hand store or pawn shop. I was in Great Western Pawn the other day and they had a handful of them.

Genuine question:
what makes a pawn shop reputable vs. another?
Do i need to bring my original proof of purchase with my item to pawn it there?

You might want to consider buying a new one at shoppers during a 20x the optimum points event. You basically get 1/3 back in points you can use on groceries and then you’ve got a brand new system.

Shops that have been around for awhile and have a decent selection of merchandise are better to deal with. Rocky's and Sharkey's are my recommendations. Avoid shops with piles of crappy tools and garbage.

I don't think you need a receipt but it couldn't hurt. I think they have to report everything that comes in but unless it's stolen you won't have a problem. You don't get nearly as much as you'd expect and the interest rates are crazy.

It depends I guess. I didn't look at prices but the Switch is s less desirable now so it should be cheaper and you can always haggle.

Pawn shops are a rip off. You get used up junk at a premium price and they prey on the underprivileged and financially illiterate.

While this thread is active there was a few OLEDs with games sold on Kijiji and FBM for $350. I’m not sure what OP is looking to spend, but those seemed like good deals to me. First party Nintendo games don’t really drop in price, and if you are buying one you’ll probably want them, so I value those at $40 each used.

I buy and sell a ton on those sites, and apart from the occasional bad messaging experience I’ve never had a bad deal.

In fact it’s the same kind of crowd that is active on here. Old guys with hobbies.

I have an original launch version of the switch that I’d sell for $175

I “might” still have the box
