Default Tracking Investments - FX Considerations

I've been trading on US listed securities out of my Canadian Dollar Account and have noticed how horribly inaccurate GlobeInvestor is at calculating gains and losses when Foreign Exchange is involved.

For example, if I buy AAPL at $100 when the FX rate is 1 CAD=1 USD and I sell it at $100 when 0.95 CAD = 1 USD my loss should be $5 CAD. GlobeInvestor incorrectly calculates the gain/loss in USD and then converts at the current rate. I'm sure many tracking programs do this too.

I'm finding many programs are not correctly calculating what my gains and losses are and as such I've made a few bad trades based on this.

Does anyone know of a good online portfolio website that handles this? I like GlobeInvestor for the convenience updated data of but as I'm increasingly in US securities this little variance is proving problematic.

Anyone using Morningstar?
