We got a beat down last time we were in SJ and that was with a full team of players, so this could be real ugly unless Kipper decides to show his form of old.

For the first time maybe in 15 years, I had no idea the Flames were even playing tonight. That's just how far they've fallen off my radar.
It bothers me how disinterested I am in this team right now. I always thought I wouldn't be like that.

Same, It's probably been since the season opener that I watched an entire Flames game, dark times.

Time for the Flames to dig deep and play with some pride. I don't care if they win or lose, they've been given the chance to mope and sulk that last couple of games cause of Iggy and Bouw being traded. No more excuses, show that you care and that you deserve to be an NHLer, if not I think management should ship 'em down to the AHL and bring up some kids to finish off the season.

Obscure Stat: When Anton Babchuk and Brett Carson both in the line-up, their team is 6-2-1 – Calgary in 2010-11 (4-1-1), Carolina (2-1-0)

Dude! I just noticed we live in the same city down here! Small world eh?
I'm going to the game tonight as well. Last time I went the Flames won with Jokinen scoring a couple goals. We got pretty good seats for this game-lower bowl on the blue line. It was my birthday present this year.
I'm scared to death that we are going to be embarrassed like last game. Just show up boys! That's all I ask.
Pray for me.

The sad thing is that us winning a shootout is the least realistic part of that prediction.

That glimmer of hope is so faint that you'd need the Hubble to pick it up.

Oh, what the hell. Another one wanting time off because your wife is spawning!?! Get over yourselves. Whoopidy doo, you reproduced. Now, if you were elected pope, cured cancer or split the atom, fine, you can have a game off. But fulfilling biological imperatives? Be a man, do your job....
Seriously, with Kipper getting the start, I just hope, someone, somewhere on that roster finds enough pride to lead this team, and give him some support. I predict a bounceback game for Kipper, 33 saves in a 3-2 Flames SO victory.

Feaster is probably going to start giving top guys the night off for their distant relatives birthdays soon in order to secure that top pick.

I will still watch the games, just not buying any hope that they get some wins.
Everything is such a mess right now it would take a small miracle to get the players to get their heads out of their butts.

Are you sure? Didn't you hear the news, we're making the playoffs next year. Chalk it, mark it, rack it.
And everyone knows from watching the woeful Coilers, you don't make the playoffs by getting the first overall pick....never mind once, but three times. And Jay F. knows you don't ever use the word "rebuild". You look for savvy veterans, guys who are good in the room, guys who scored 30 goals....6 seasons ago. Grinders, not flashy finesse guys. Talent is overrated, and anyone who tries to tell you that you need a first line centre is an idiot.
That's how you make the playoffs.
<end rant>

I understand fighting the good fight and cheering for the team but this is our one chance to add that franchise guy...will be pretty disappointed if the Flames start winning and blow that chance. Maybe the league should change the draft lottery even more but it is what it is
Tank! Tank! Tank!
best draft in years
