Jeff Fuller looks finished. Apparently Rogers is still sniffing around the NFL but the Stamps have been in contact. Moore is a possibility as the Stamps have had interest in him in the past. I wouldn't rule out Bakari Grant if the Riders release him.

Would welcome back Marquay on a cheaper contract but I imagine he'll get an opportunity elsewhere if that doesn't happen. He was still a productive player and had great chemistry with Bo.

I’d like to thank @calstampeders for an awesome ride! It was a pleasure to play for this organization for the past 2 seasons. Lots of great coaches and leaders to learn from and the fans were amazing. Sorry we couldn’t bring that to Calgary.

Fuller never really amounted to what i thought he would be, when he first came to the Stamps, i really thought they had a star for the future. never really put it all together

OTTAWA — The Ottawa REDBLACKS have shuffled the quarterback position, announcing Monday they’ve released Drew Tate and added Dominique Davis.
Think Calgary gives Tate a shot again as a backup QB? He's proven he can play some decent football and would be a massive upgrade on Buckley.

I suppose it depends if he's a good fit in the locker room. They do need an experienced backup.

Didn’t Tate at one point say he wanted to coach? He may go that route rather than bouncing around as a backup.

Yes, he wanted to return home and coach at the college level.

I think he's done at this point, he can't stay healthy.

Agreed. He'd be useless as backup QB because in a BoLevi Injury situation, the QB would eventually be Buckley anyway. The question would simply be 'how many quarters?' would Tate last aka Jesse Lumsden bingo

The Calgary Stampeders have signed international receiver DaVaris Daniels. The 25-year-old Notre Dame alum had been eligible to become a free agent on Tuesday.

Daniels was the CFL’s Most Outstanding Rookie in 2016 and in 24 career regular-season games for the Stamps, he has 98 receptions for 1,628 yards and 13 touchdowns as well as four carries for 35 yards.
Massive massive signing.

A couple months back he tweeted about finally paying off his student loans in one massive sum and jokingly asking his old college to hire him on so he can make some money after burning it all on that transaction. I tweeted at him that I hear the Stamps pay people to play football, and he should come back. He "Liked" the tweet so he deff saw it...I've done everything I can do lol

UPDATE: couldn't remember what his tweet said so I visited his account today to dig it up, only to discover it's actually his birthday today. Wished him a happy bday and told him we really need him on the Stamps, and he "Liked" it again. So if he comes back, you know who to thank..

In not so exciting news.

Quote:
The Calgary Stampeders have signed national receiver Anthony Parker. A member of the Red and White since 2011, Parker had been eligible to become a free agent on Tuesday.

Parker has played 108 career regular-season games in seven seasons for the Stampeders and has 178 catches for 2,245 yards and 15 touchdowns. The University of Calgary product also has 35 carries for 326 yards and one score. He has played all 18 games in each of the past four seasons and has only missed one game since the start of the 2013 campaign.

Agreed.

He can be frustrating at times, but he is valuable as a N receiver and a pretty versatile guy.
