Here's a review comparing two TN monitors (Samsung 2494SW and Dell S2409W) with an IPS (Dell U2410) for anyone wondering what the difference is and if the IPS is worth it. The Samsung is on sale for $200 at ME and I was considering it before the Dell sale and I imagine the S2409 is similar to the ST2410 that should be a monitor that is soon on sale.
I'm trying to decide between two monitors, the ST 2410 and the U2311 which should be coming up. I know the U2311 is a far better panel and has display port but my eyes aren't getting any better for reading and I'm concerned about the higher pixel pitch of the U 2311 (.265 compared to the ST 2410 .277). I'm currently using a 22" 16x10 screen with a pitch of .282 which is fine when I increase the print size by rolling my mouse while holding 'control' but this often causes the screen to stretch farther than the monitor is wide.
Okay I think I've figured it out, the 23" screen despite being about the same real estate as the 22", is about 1 3/8" wider than the 22" screen, so I'll have some latitude when increasing the print size.
Any comments appreciated.
For the price the ST 2410 can't be beat IMO. My lappy can only connect with DVI anyways so this was a natural purchase for me. I love the extra real estate I now have and the screen is great. I have an older 21'' ultrasharp and I honestly can't tell the difference between the two. I love this monitor and I have had no problems with it.

I ordered the ST2410. I like the larger real estate and I'm too cheap to get the U2410. Everyone seems to like it and it was rated well at CNet. Also Dell is great for giving out a replacement if it is needed.
If I didnt already have a 27" and 22" wide screen I would really think about the 30"
I want the radio, but their previous version was complete garbage.

How is your TV? I think mine is going back to Dell. Reading the reviews about the volume issues it sounded like it was in digital mode only, but in Analog I had the thing cranked and it still sounded like it was under a wet blanket.
In case anybody is looking for remote codes; the Phillips ones work. 566 for Bell.
Its a good think my desk isnt bigger cause I could really use a 2nd 27" Dell widescreen .
Thank goodness for Ikea getting rid of their sweet computer desks or that monitor would be mine.

Good deal on the Tom Tom GPS today if anyone needs one.
Thinking about getting this one. Anyone have any experience with this GPS? And does anyone know what the difference between the XXL 540M and XXL 540S is? I don't know a whole lot about gps's so any help deciding whether I should get this or not would be much appreciated. How good is this GPS?
