The camera store sells the same camera/lens combo for about $730 without the memory card

But at 1920 resolution? I think you'd need some wicked eyesight for that.

Ìf the supposed leak of deals is true on RFD, the 2209WA will be on for 239 around Day 10 (i think thats when it was)`

Edit: Nm, thats the U2311H 23" model. Also IPS with the same reso as this 21.5, 1920.

Excellent. I will look out for it then. If that is the case I will definitely jump on that.

Hmmm, 23" at 1920 might not be so bad. does anyone here do office work on a 1920 reso monitor?

I should really go down to FS and take a look at them to see if I could work on a monitor like that.

So what's the comparison like between the 2209WA and the U2311H?

Basically same panel, just monitor size and resolution?

Edit:

Looks like response time varies a bit. 6ms for the 2209 and 8ms for the U2311, not a big deal though, especially used as a work monitor.

Is it a matte finish? It doesn't say anywhere that I can see.

Edit2: It is a matte finish as referenced in this review

That Logitech mouse doesn't look very mousy.

"Shop now" takes me to Google.ca?

If they have the U2410 again I can confirm they've updated the firmware to fix the dithering problem in dark colours with the first revision of the monitor, which is my only complaint about the one I have.

So I called Dell for a replacement for the one I have after I heard that they'd fixed the firmware. I've been getting new monitors from Dell for about 2 months, I'm on my 5th "replacement"

Each one has had some kind of problem (dead pixels, backlight problems, etc), but just got one today that looks like it's a winner. Finally.

that's an solid deal, it's 720-770 for just the camera in the city, plus you save another 30 for the card

The U2410 has been on sale for a few days for $499. If it drops lower, I may be interested.

I don't think I've ever paid for standard shipping from Dell, and I've made some small orders from them over the years.

No it sure doesn't... unless I've been using my mouse and/or headphones wrong all this time.

didnt' realize till now, but if you buy something, go through airmiles.ca to get ten x your airmiles... pretty big if you buy something worthwhile.

So I'm looking to get a new desktop, but not sure what's good. I didn't want to cheap out and get one with an integrated graphics card, because in the past, I've always had bad experiences with integrated anything. There are always driver issues with those for some reason.

Anyways, if the redflagdeals predictions are correct, I'm waiting for the following:

Inspiron 580 Desktop
• Intel Core i5-750
• 6GB / 1TB
• ATI Radeon HD 5450 1GB
• Dell 23" HD Widescreen Monitor
$899

or

Studio XPS 7100 Desktop
• AMD Athlon II X4 630
• 6GB / 1TB*
• ATI Radeon HD 5450 1GB Card
• Dell 23" HD Widescreen Monitor
$899

Are these a good deal? If so, which one would people recommend? AMD or Intel?
