I have 4 metal coats, 3 dragon scales and 3 upgrades.
I've only seen one king's rock and 0 sun stones.

This makes me happy, I was hoping that they would bring this back. I have been working with my Magicarp for a while now and I am now 20 candies away from evolving one. It is hard as there are literally none around where I work and live.

Hmmmm, what to make buddy?
Walk something to evolve something I don't have yet?
Walk something to power up my Best?
Walk a dratini to work on finally getting a useable Dragonite?

Has anyone noticed any new Pokestops or Gyms in areas they frequent? Operation Portal Recon was enabled worldwide for all max level Ingress players a week or two ago and apparently a lot of new stops are popping up all over as they filter in from the other game. I haven't noticed anything near me, however.

Hopefully Airdrie gets some new ones. That city was a poke stop/gym wasteland when I visited earlier this spring. Calgary was pretty bad for the most part too except for downtown but I guess that makes sense because of the city's intense sprawl.
I picked up an upgrade a few days ago so am done regional dex except for unown which doesn't actually seem to spawn here.

Are there any pokestop map websites that are good for Calgary? I know I have seen them for other cities.

Event is late going live. Waiting here on pins and needles to see if we get really cool stuff or just sudowoodo. I don't have even a Larvitar yet.

Just got back from walking. A guy in his car stopped and talked for a couple minutes about the event. He's got a subscription to a whole city scanner and showed it to me. Looks like Larvitars are spawning pretty much everywhere except the deep SE, like Copperfield, where I live. Guess I'm going to have to go on an adventure or two during the adventure event.

I guess the word is now that Larvitar spawns were initially extremely abundant, but was quickly nerfed down to normal spawn rates. If you didn't get anything in the first bit of the event (like me), you're likely SOL. Feels bad to have it dangled in front of us then snatched away. Guess it's back to praying for good eggs.

Is it more effective to do just pidgeys for evolutions when using a lucky egg or should I complete the evolutions that will give me new pokemon as well?

You will get more evos in with Pidgeys only has pressing buttons will be faster and require less button presses but if you don't have enough pidgeys, you don't care about super efficiency and you want to use the lucky egg. It's good to just get that experience.
Also you want to focus mostly on first tier evos, the other ones are just too much candies otherwise.

I have enough pidgeys and candy for about 19 minutes of evolutions, I could fill in the gap with weedles, rats and caterpies as I have a bunch of those as well but I have never had a backlog of new Mons and I couldn't find much online about which would give me more XP.
