Writer/producer Harris Wittels died today of an overdose. He was in some of the episodes too.

He was such a funny guy. He created the "humble brag" Twitter account and was on a bunch of podcasts, including You Made It Weird where he talked about his addiction.

I'm really upset that he's gone.

Just saw the news about Harris Wittels... Horrible news as he was a real up and comer that made it with Parks and Recreation... Which ends this year.

His bands name "Don't Stop or We'll Die" is a little morbid now, and I think he'd like that in a dark humor way.

I love that song. I think someone needs to open this restaurant he created in tribute.

Horribly sad. The show is just about over too. If I recall just a couple episodes left?

Sliver might wear a perm for a camping trip.

This feels awful. I love foam corner. It was my favourite part of Comedy Bang Bang. Never been this upset over a famous person dying before. I was just thinking yesterday that he had my favourite sense of humour.

I thought the finale was great last night. I'm glad the show was able to wrap up everyone's stories.

The cast was on Seth Meyers last night. Aubrey and Jim made everyone crack up.

Of course they paid tribute to Harris at the end of the episode.

I agree about the finale. I really liked how they wrapped it up. It was really sweet, but still managed to be funny. It wrapped up everyone's storylines. I like how everyone had a nice, happy ending, ending up where they should be.

I thought it was hilarious how Leslie pushed Ben out of the way to get to Anne and she just kept saying, "Anne's here." It was really well done.

I will definitely miss this show.

The ending was a good comedy ending. The transitions really bugged me, enough that I had to say it, but the story was fun.

In the video above, it looks like Nick Offerman got cast in Banshee with that amaizing Amish face flag.

I loathed the final season, thought it was just an awful concept changing the timetable. Truly a show with fluctuating quality.

On the flip side I thought the last season was in the top 2 for the series in terms of how funny it was, I don't think I laughed that much watching Parks and Rec since Season 3.

I loved the last season, especially Ron's storyline. His commercial during the Johnny Karate episode had me howling.

Used to like the show but very glad it's over, last couple of seasons were a drag. Mediocre finale.

i agree with both of these statements. i thought the time jump was a terrible idea, but i also thought the content of the episodes themselves was among the funniest of the series.

on reflection, i am thinking maybe the reason the content was so good was because we got to see many of the characters in totally different situations. which of course was made possible by the time jump. so maybe it served a useful purpose?

I just watched the finale today and it kind of reminded me of Six Feet under, except the flash forwards were about their successes rather than their deaths.
