Just the loss. The fighting I expected and was happy about that we showed some fight. Just couldnt finish and took too long to get some offence going. That got me most ticked

I'm ticked that CGY did not play well at all last night. even the parts of the 3rd I did get to watch there wasn't a lot to go off of.

Part of that was VAN actually playing the Flames properly and the other part was there was a ton of stupid mistakes by the Flames allowing VAN to get a hold of the game.

That and the ice quality. That was atrocious. Game 5 is going to be the same too in VAN as I think they have yet another concert the night before.

Gotta be Flames level of play. They've got to pick it up...and if they did, none of those other options would have even been discussed this morning. Although Hughson is always a giant homer so that's a close second.

Lots of things had me upset about the game last night however i'll go with the officials.

They were awful handling that situation at the end of the game and not just that, I thought the penalty they called on Ferland for that hit along the boards was very clean despite taking a run at the Vancouver player.

Still very satisfied with a split coming back to Calgary. It's now a best of 5 and we're at home for 3 of those games.

Just hate the way they lost.

That 1st period was U G L Y.

Felt like Game #2 should have been Game #1. They need that 3rd period desperation in their entire entire game.

The officials allowed what should have been a non event to turn into a gong show. I rarely blame refs but that was utter incompetence

Has to be the level of play, but I haven't seen officials stand around like that for a fight before. Usually, as soon as a) a third man joins the fray or b) the fight goes to the ice, the refs jump in. Last night, they did neither, and they're lucky no one got hurt as a result. I'm always first to defend the zeeb crew, but that one left me scratching my head.

Their level of play wasn't good, but this is not a veteran team, a lot of the players are playing the second playoff game in their lives. Therefore, I'm not overly annoy at their level of plays, I am annoy at the way the officials handled the game as a whole especially how they handled the melee at the end of the game.

I complained about Jim Hughson to CBC

I think Flames fans in 04 got Healy(?) replaced as the colour guy during the Detroit series by making enough of a ruckus about how biased he was.

I'm miffed that I haven't received an update on Mr. Lack. What he had for breakfast. Was there corn in his stool. No news is bad news. It's been hours. Is he ok?

How many posters here thinks the Flames will win one or two games in Vancouver? I was gearing for the Flames being down 2-0 before they get back to Calgary so I don't have any problem with the split. Yes game 2 was a bit annoying but give credit to the Canucks because they were ready to play from the start and Flames wasn't. The ice condition last night didn't help the Flames either but they were playing on the same ice so I guess I can't complain much. Flames played better close to the end of the game though. I was actually glad of that scrums late of the 3rd period, too bad the refs have to ruin it as they lost control of it and they started giving bogus penalties. They lost control of separating Richardson and Stajan, Richardson ended up sucker punching Stajan while he was down and referee didn't do crap about it. Normally that would be a game misconduct penalty. They also lost control in separating Dorsett and Engelland. How is it possible that Dorsett comes back and sucker punching Engelland after being separated and not getting extra penalties. Of course the Dan Hamhuis 3rd man in. Refs let 2 Canucks going after Engelland. I guess Flames were shorthanded on the ice at the time since Ferland was already escorted out and Bollig was already sent to the bench.

Game 3: I am expecting a more prepared Flames from the start. The first line needs to start shooting the puck more rather than trying to pass the puck blindly. Not a lot of ice spaces there. I also think the Jones-Stajan-Ferland line will be more physical. I hope for Ferland to finish his checks with physicality but I can see the refs watching him closely. If Flames can take advantage of the home ice beat the stupid Canucklehead twice, we'll be in good shape.

I expected Vancouver to look old and slow; instead, it was the Flames who couldn't seem to keep up or exit their own zone. We'll need to be much better in Calgary but, if I've learned anything this season, it's that you write off Calgary at your peril.

I put level of Flames play but am equally annoyed by Hamhuis taking over as the biggest bitch on a team full of bitches and no one questioning his 3rd man in , all the talk seems to be if Engelland is getting suspended or not , which I find ludicrous .

The level of Flames play for me. I think most young players are still feeling it out. I know things tighten up come playoff time, but it always annoys me how some players just can't seem to adjust and they disappear after working so hard just to make it here. The first line needs to break through in a big way. I think they will at home. We could sure use Gio or Bouma right now.
