Lucic is from New West ain't he?
It wasn't just suburbanites who burned the city down, don't kid yourself either. Although Surrey did have a big part of it, its all considered the Greater Vancouver Area.

Over $100 for bleeders at face value? You can still get PAIRS of tickets for the lower bowl in Vancouver for $170! Or others cheaper here http://www.ticketsnow.com/NHL/Invent...OFFS_RND1_GME2
I looked into flying out, but was still too expensive.
|
Supply and demand my friend. Tickets are selling in the aftermarket for more than double face value (5X STH cost in some cases), you could actually argue that the Flames are leaving a ton of money on the table and doing us a solid. Vancouver prices are reasonable because there is not as much demand, because well....vancouver.

Went on the jump on flight to Vancouver for the Grey Cup last year. Flight was delayed, but we managed to take off when many flights were cancelled due to extensive snowfall earlier that day. The CEO of the company (as well as Sean, the marketing guy who is also his son) were on the flight and it was smooth sailing once we were in the air. Won't be going to game 2 but would definitely book with them again.

I am 100% in - just working on getting some buddies together. Just the thought of flames home games being all red and canuck home games being a complete mix makes this that much better.

I was on that flight too. Ended up making friends over shots with some fellow stamps fans in the airport while the plane was delayed. 100% would use Jumpon again.

The cheapest ticket to the lower bowl in Vancouer is $173.50. A pair would be $347. From the link you sent the cheapest pair in the lower bowl is $173 per ticket plus the 15% fee. That's over double what you said.
For a point of reference the Flames face value for Greens is $123 per ticket. That's a 50% increase from the $82 they charged for premium games during the regular season. That's not terrible, especially when I know tickets in this section have sold for over $600 per pair on the secondary market.
The Flames aren't gouging. They are leaving a ton of money on the table. The market will always set the price, and in this case the demand far exceeds the supply. Just check on CP's ticketexchange. How many people are asking to buy? There isn't one listing for someone selling.

So I just talked to a few buddies of mine and all are working on Friday and are unable to go. If there's a group going that would be interested in taking on a loud and proud Flames fan, I'd definitely be in

Ill let you know - I am in a similar boat and just posted it to facebook as I really want to go but obviously not solo.
There are 6 seats all together in the lower bowl for $170 each and whatever the fee is. I would rather spend 30-40 more to get a bunch of flames jerseys on tv than be hidden up high.

Any way to update the total bookings? I would be in +1, but if it's unlikely then I want to lock down a flight ASAP.

Screw it! I'm going!
Not taking advantage of this deal (Dad works for WestJet) but will be there! Found a good single seat 3 rows up in the second bowl!
Should arrange a CP meet up for people going, Flames Fans unite!

Also, there are tons of seats together on the Canucks fan exchange...
Cheaper than the lower bowls on ticketmaster, but over face value slightly.
$120 a ticket seems to get you in the door.

I couldn't agree with you more Travis! I just hope the flight fills up.
Is everyone booking their flight and then getting tickets or waiting for the flight to fill up then getting their ducats?

I believe it updates in real time; as of right now 8 people are booked with 92 more needed
I would consider booking with AC/WestJet assuming you can still cancel within 24 hours with no fee.

This would be unreal! CP make this happen. If I wasn't a broke university student stuck in the wave of finals I would be flying there in a heartbeat.

My wife and I will probably jump all over this. We've been looking for decently priced flights to Van-city for Game 2 and this is perfect!
I even emailed JumpOn about this on Sunday to see if they were planning anything around this game. Perfect!

I just picked up 4 lower bowl seats straight from ticketmaster ... there are a couple of options for 6-8 seats in a row on ticket exchange which I was going to get and invite those CP members who mentioned wanting a group to go with however the fees were STUPID. Over $300 in fees for 6 tickets when the tickets were $200 each (lower bowl)
