edit - I guess it's a slim chance they lose to edm?

Yep. Flames hold the tiebreaker so if they win their final game and the Canucks lose either of their final 2 (unlikely tonight) the Flames will have home ice.

Congrats guys on making the playoffs. This series should be a fun one. No predictions from this guy.

Don't know how Sportsnet will work the playoffs but I hope Ball and Hrudy get to stick with this team.

Turn back time to 1989 and 2004!!

It was 1989, my thoughts were short my hair was long.
Bring back the roar of 2004.
And yes there was 1983 and 1984.

The boys are pretty banged up right now. It will be good to have almost a week off for some of them. Maybe the Spoon, Sam and a few of the others can have some fun Saturday and leave some of the boys at home to watch on the TV and have a few pops to get ready for the next wave.

At one point, I would have been hugely satisfied just for Calgary to make the playoffs. Even if they got swept in the first round, getting this far has to be considered a huge success for the season.

But now that they're set to play the Canucks, anything less than victory will be unacceptable to me. Eff Vancouver.

I'm going to try and buy tickets tomorrow (for Vancouver home games) Does anyone know how it works? What games would you try to buy?

I was kind of hoping they would avoid the Canucks as it seems these teams alternate series wins and seeing the Flames won the last one the Canucks are due. That said it would be amazing if the Flames could end their season. It's going to come down to how well the Flames can contain the Sedins. I really, really hope the Canucks try to win honourably and don't resort to their embellishing ways trying to turn the series into a special teams affair.

I'm just going off the assumption that game 1 and 2 will be in Vancouver.

My guess is that Game 1 is on Wednesday April 15th and Game 2 is on Friday April 17th, because there are events at Rogers Arena on the 16th and 18th.

There are events at the Saddledome on Wednesday the 22nd and Thursday the 23rd, so Game 3 is likely Sunday the 19th and Game 4 could be Tuesday the 21st.

That would put Game 5 back at Rogers Arena on Thursday the 23rd or Friday the 24th.

If it's Thursday the 23rd, Calgary might get a Saturday night Game 6. I'm not sure if that's a torrid pace for a playoff series... Maybe they have more time between games.

I guess to answer your question, I'd try to buy Game 2 in Vancouver... Or Game 5 in Vancouver.

I could live with their PBP guy but Garrett is absolutely sickening in his homerism. It would be hard to take for an entire playoff series.

Vancouver has terrible pp but excellent pk... They will take way more penalties than the flames you can book that.

I honestly believe we have more scoring depth and better goaltending. The sisters will be a handful as usual, but if Calgary can limit their chances, we have a good shot at winning this series. The Flames are also one of the most disciplined teams in the league and don't take many penalties.

Flames in 7.
