The players will cough up a couple of bucks each, I'm pretty sure. Seems to me they're pretty pumped about their coach.

^I'm not sure that's allowed.

Informally, I understand it happens all the time.

Coaches put 'money on the board' to beat their old teams, players put up cash to beat teams they were traded from.

I've heard its fairly common.

It really makes no sense.... the league rescinds the penalty that would have cost $10K and a suspension, in doing so, effectively says the calls on the ice were wrong, and excessive, but then slaps Hartley with a $50K fine for playing his energy line (who was probably the best line that night), when they had just built momentum, in the dying minutes... and the Canucks get off Scott free. Unless the fine was for Bollig being sent back out, following the Melee, but the refs didn't even drop the puck before he was ejected, so how do you fine a guy for something that likely never would have happened?

Derek Wills @Fan960Wills
When asked about #Oilers winning #NHL's Draft Lottery, Hartley said "Good for them. I hope I win the lottery...I need it". Too funny.

"Bob looks pretty good, I'm not going down there," Desjardins says he didn't consider storming the Flames' dressing room after Game 2.

#Canucks Dorsett said official told him and Hamhuis told them to tie up Engelland - after they all were engaged - not to create 3rd man in.

If they're gonna fine Hartley, they should fine Desjardins and the refs too.

Wow so that actually happened? Brutal. That brwal truley was the canucks and refs vs the flames when you go over all the details and penalties handed out.

The story keeps changing. I guess by the end of the series the entire team will be unofficial linesmen.

Ba ha ha. I love it. Tie him up like he's some sort of wild animal, at the behest of the referee.

After saying something like that publicly, I think he's finished in this series. At least as any sort of intimidating presence, which was dubious to begin with.

You'd think the linesman/referee in question would be front and centre denying this because asking an opposition player to tie up an already engaged player would be so stupid that the guy would likely be fired.

Not only that...but he suckered him square on the cheek right after all this stuff.

What a clusterfata this thing is.

Again..the fine is absurd. He had guys who had just finished a shift and things got heated....so what the hell is the reasoning behind the fine?

None of it makes ANY sense.

Defend yourself in a hockey fight - two suspensions

Coach your hockey team - $50,000 fine

Watching Deryk Engelland beat the #### out of two Canucks at once.. priceless
