Well holy shnikes, caps storm back to take a 4-3 lead. Halak looked not so impressive. Mind you, the Isles have been turning the puck over like it was a hot potato.

Backstrom with a PP goals and Chimera chimes in with the potential GWG.

Holtby has recovered from the flu, he will be the starting goaltender for the Capitals in game three.

Good trade Brad!
I wonder how Glencross likes his new role? He's getting even less ice-time than in Calgary

Quite the atmosphere in the islanders and caps game. Maybe it's just the broadcast but the crowd noise is impressive.

It really bothers me that the Islanders main arena camera isn't at center ice, makes for such a weird viewing experience

Kyle Okposo: is the K supposed to be silent or is everyone on NBC dyslexic?

Wow. Tavares wins it in OT 15 seconds in.

Rough goal for Holtby to give up there. Ug-ly.

maybe the guy is hurting. Stop the hate. He's no longer playing in Calgary so move on.

That was a quick goal on OT by JT.

Holtby will be kicking himself for that one.

First he passes up a chance to cover it and gives it away along the boards, then he pokes the puck right onto Tavares' stick and was out of position.

Just goes to show that putting pucks on net no matter how or where is the best thing to do.

He made a great first save. It was his teammates that turned it over, and it was his teammates that failed to cover Tavares on the rebound.

Is Emerick not the best play by play man in the business? What a call.

It wasn't a rebound. Holtby poked it right to Tavares.

The defenceman had Tavares angled out, Holtby gave it right to him.

It will be a simulcast on Sportsnet 360 with John Forslund and Pierre McGuire calling the game. Schedule update, scores, and post game links have been added in the first post of the thread.

Glencross is a scratch for Washington tonight:

Katie Strang@KatieStrangESPN6m6 minutes ago

So, according to Caps line rushes, both Burakovsky and Latta draw into lineup, with Glencross scratched. Fehr also out
