Report that Raptors have signed Ross to a 3 year (get this) $33M extension. What world are we living in when Terrence Ross is worth $11M a season. Don't like this signing much.

I had the same reaction when my head almost exploded upon hearing how much Demarre Carroll signed for. But it's important to factor in the huge, 30 mil jump the cap is about to take . Everyone is going to get paid now, it's just the reality of the NBA with the TV deal. It's shocking to see now, but in a couple of years people won't even flinch hearing signings like this.

Ross will be worth it (comparatively speaking) if he finally buys in and commits to his 6th man role. If he doesn't, it's only 3 yrs and he'll still be a movable piece as part of something bigger.

Term is nice on that deal but certainly an overpay. Though if he can actually accept the 6th man role it could turn out to be a decent contract.

Also the Warriors somehow might even be better this year than last. 50 point win last night over a good Grizzlies team. An OKC-GS series with Durant, Westbrook, Curry and Thompson might be the all-time dream NBA playoff matchup.

I don't mind it. It's going to look like a good deal by next summer when Beal and Barnes each get offer sheets of $20m or more. Yeah, those guys are better than Ross, but they're not $10m better. I think Ross has a lot of potential as a sixth man, and last year he didn't fit on the second unit at all with Williams and Vasquez. This year, he can be a focal point of that unit.

Another ridiculous early season line: Andre Drummond with 25 points and 29 rebounds. First player since the merger to have 75 points and 75 rebounds in the first 4 games.

And the Raps up 6 with three minutes to go. 4-0 for the first time possibly.

I'm not sure what's more shocking, that stat line, or the fact that Detroit lost that game!

Impressive win for the Raptors, in that they survived some really bad shooting and got it done with defense in the fourth quarter.

18-3 run to close the game, mostly with Jonas on the floor. I mean better late than never but glad Casey finally learned. Defense being significantly better making a huge difference. A win tomorrow is improbable but you never know.

I think they had to gamble because if they lose DD then he is their starting 2. They can't afford to have another Bosh like fiasco either so the deadline could be very interesting depending on where they are standings wise.

I think OKC win tonight but itd be nice to see the Raps keep it close. Not sure who is going to guard/stop Westbrook.

You know, Cory Joseph probably has a decent amount of experience guarding Westbrook. Wouldn't mind seeing him get matched up on Westbrook in the second half tonight.

How about another big close tonight to steal this one? Oh and Westbrook, great player, but holy annoying as hell.

Biggest regular season win ever? Maybe a little much but I can't remember a better win. And $64 million for Jonas is worth it alone for his free throw shooting. Mega luxury when your big man shoots 80% from the line. Too early for contender talk but outside that 3rd quarter that was outstanding defense against an elite offensive team.

Also we should all give ourselves pats on the back for being right about playing Valanciunas in end of game situations for a long time now. He's pretty much been the difference the last two nights, and maybe he's gonna take that next step to top level center this year.

He did a great job protecting the rim at the end of the game and then finishing the possessions with a defensive rebound. I thought Joseph played great defence on Westbrook as well. Really good signing, nationality aside.

That's about as big of a win as you can have in November.

Missed the game. I was assuming it would be on later than it was since it was in OKC? I see they won, did they look good?
