And he saw John F Kennedy's final speech in person... as an 8yr old.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.
Can't forget he was a great director as well. For anyone who hasn't seen Frailty before it is a true hidden gem. He will be missed, I heard Training Day was quite good as well.

If you haven't seen Frailty do yourself a favor and celebrate Paxton's life by watching it today (if you're looking to do that sort of thing.). My favorite of all his work, especially his direction.

Storm chasers inspired by Bill Paxton and the movie "Twister" came together to honor him by spelling out BP on Spotter Network map! Amazing that they did this for him. Each dot is the location of a storm chaser/spotter. RIP Bill Paxton

rewatched Aliens; the bluray has a audio commentary track with him, Hicks, Bishop and Vasquez talking about the filming... sounded like a fun guy... definitely taken too soon
Just found out that Paxton also directed and starred in the bizarre 80s video "Fish Heads". I had no idea. I lived in the States when I was a kid (from '80-'87) and I remember this video being shown constantly on MTV.
