Condo or townhouse? I know when I did electrical work the Project Manager had keys to all of the apartments in a condo and we would go in and do touch up work unannounced. I have never felt so awkward. So maybe doing a caulking touch up in the bathroom unannounced?

Reminds me of a story I heard on, probably, This American Life. I'll try to recite from memory, but I'm sure the real version is much better. That Ira Glass amirite.

Man comes home from working, takes a nap on the couch, wakes up, and takes midday shower. While showering, he hears a "plink" and looks down and there's a quarter at his feet. He's alone in the shower and it seems like this coin appeared out of nowhere and fell into the tub. Weird, but he shrugged it off. But then a few days later, it happened again. Same circumstances - work, couch nap, shower, plink. He figured it was an odd, extremely low stakes prank by roommates, but no one copped. It kept happening though, and eventually he figured it out.

He lived in a warm apartment and when he's taking his couch nap, he takes off his shirt. He lives with roomies, so pants stay on. While napping, coins from his pants pockets fall out and find themselves eventually stuck to his naked back. When he wakes up, he heads straight to the shower and the water washes it off and "plink" - money out of thin air.

Reminds me of a few years ago. I saw big boot prints come up from the alley to my back door, then across my deck to the window below my wife's office. Then they turned and went back, then out the front gate. I had no idea who it was. Then a month later, same thing, same pattern. Made me really nervous, so I got a motion sensing webcam. Sure enough, I get home one day, and see the same big boot prints, same pattern. I checked the video, and to my relief, it was the gas meter reader! My meter is next to my back door, and he was going to the edge of my deck becuase he could get close enough to my neighbour's meter to read it from there.

Ghosts don't scare me. That's literally one of the best case scenarios I can think of.

The alternative would be some one is playing a sick twisted game where the end game is I wake up in a room on a board wrapped in plastic bags or I'm being slowly CO poisoned to death.

Someone's trying to gaslight you. Did you recently come into a large sum of money? Is there anyone that would benefit from you being institutionalized? Do you have an online message board nemesis who would benefit from you going onto said message board and making posts that would suggest you're not of sane mind?
