Default LG Appliance repair

I looked for an Appliance repair thread and couldn't find one-

My LG washer has a blown pump (I think) and in doing a bit of research it seems there are only a few places that will repair them now, under a "one price" coverage that will probably be over $500. Has anyone had experience repairing anything Lg lately?

I had an LG Dryer fail on me earlier this year. Apparently only LG tech's can work on LG appliances. In the end it was cheaper for me to buy a new dryer then have the guy come out and fix it.

What a PIA, and a waste. I will not be buying LG ever again.

Even getting replacement parts seems to be a pain in Canada. I wanted to replace a damaged drawer in an LG fridge and the quote I got was almost in the new fridge price range.

I hate LG. My fridge was broken in my old house and I had to get a certified LG tech to come in.. not cheap

Yep, I have a 4 year old fridge that doesn't cool very well anymore. Nobody will come out and look at it as soon as I say LG. Finally found someone to come out and I might as well get a new fridge for what he will charge me. Looking for a new non-LG fridge, what piece of junk and a terrible company

Well, I'm glad I read this thread. I've had nothing but positive experiences with LG tvs, and now I'm about to have to re-appliance a house. I would have been very likely to buy LG, if the price was right. Now it's sounding like their appliances are in Range Rover territory.

I had a pump go on a 2in1 washer dryer combo that was LG. I did some research on line and found the repair manual for it. Bought the part locally and replaced it myself. I remember it being very easy.

There are pretty decent videos on YouTube for this problem. If you can't find the part, PM and I'll try to dig out where I got it.

Call Transglobal Services 1-800-360-2742. Fixed my LG fridge a few years ago and at a reasonable cost. I believe they're associated with The Brick (or Leon's or something).

LG products are high quality. Until they break. It costs a ton to fix them.

My sister who lives in Nanton basically could not even get an LG repair person out. Options were to load up the fridge to bring closer to the city, or buy a new one.

Have you tried Rundle Appliances? Their servicemen are top notch and they repair quite a few major brands. They are the first that I call.
