Strange that the Battle of Alberta is done in January. Big game. You guys will have a lot of intensity tonight and we need to match it. I think we will see Calgary's best game tonight. Being up 7 in the standings, truthfully this is probably at this point of the season a bigger game standings wise for the home team. However, adding on the points and getting a bigger cushion for a playoff spot is huge. I think special teams will be the difference tonight as it is in a lot of games but it seems like that's even more the case in Oilers/Flames games.

I feel less confident now as Brossoit is the starter. Talbot has been amazing this season. On back to backs he needs a rest. Hopefully Brossoit has a big game.
When is the last time the Flames have been swept in the season series against the Oilers? You have to think Gulutzan doesn't want his name attached to this distinction.

Because the same team didn't get swept last season under Hartley. Just looking at is from the coaches point of view as it would be a little uncomfortable facing your boss or the owners after this happens under your watch. A little bit of shame should be associated to getting swept by a no good team don't you think? Goes for the players as well.

Should be interesting seeing Brossoit perform against the team that drafted him. He's been average in the AHL this year so lets hope for more of the same.
Biggest game of the season. The Flames are on the brink of dropping out of a wild card spot with Nashville picking up four points in Alberta. A poor showing tonight and it would be huge blow, not just in the standings but giving the Greasers the season sweep. /hyperbole
