What is the explanation for fossils that are millions of years old? Do the religious just pretend they don't exist?

I have nothing to add but just having this in my head from that 90's song

Apparently Dishwalla (the band who wrote/played that song) received thousands of letters calling them heretics, informing them of boycotts of establishments where they played, and some even threatening their lives. But, yeah, god is love. :/

Yes, death threats are just intolerant. Glad that was your takeaway.

Fatality Inquiry is set to get underway, also to include the new measures put into place since the incident. Not really sure why they need a court involved in this, seems more like an internal thing. Unless the results of the inquiry give the parents what they need to sue Winsport?

A very unfortunate and tragic accident no parent should have to go through but the idea that Winsport can be sued out of this is ridiculous. Break into and trespass on private property, get hurt and sue? Could one sue if they broke into a car crushing place that had a hole in the fence somewhere and got attacked? I do not mean to come across as unsympathetic at all.... I feel horrible for how many lives this impact but I don't understand the lawsuit aspect.

I don’t know if it’s only that. I mean, what lead up to this specific incident is because the kids did something illegal, but looking beyond that aspect, is this a tragedy that could have also happened under other circumstances? I think what would be important is determining whether this could happen in other scenarios where athletes are using the course and they switch from one track to another, what precautions are in place. I think that is what the inquiry could get at.

I guess you could also look at it like the situation in Vancouver with the Georgian luger. Suppose some kids had broken in before that happened and the same result happened. Would it not be worth looking into because of the circumstances of how they found themselves on the track, even though the track itself is unsafe?

I still feel you can find danger in any scenario and precautions could be endless but I do see your point and I am sure there is much more to it than what I read in a couple articles.

I think the two kids worked at Winsport. That would make it pretty difficult to argue they were victims. Legally they probably should have known better. I also think there would have been something filed by now.

Its a tragic event but no amount of signage will make kids second think the run.
