I used to have frequent migraines and after going to physio and doing the exercises recommended by them, I probably have a migraine once or twice every week or two rather than the 3-5 headches/migraines per week I used to deal with.
Another huge change for me was tweaking my pillow and mattress. I previously sometimes had to lie on the hard floor because my back in rough shape which also meant I was dealing with a headache or migraine. Foam roller exercises have replaced this activity of mine and dealing with the mattress have reduced the need for me to do foam roller exercises.
Everything else I tried previously were band aid fixes at best. I tried massage, chiro, active release physio, accupressure, medicated/hot/cold strips, medicines/supplements, cooling gels etc. The benefits I've received from physio finding the root cause and dealing with it has been... nothing short of amazing.
