And cammy did skate with the team today, so i would think they did this, just to give him a couple extra days. Especially with his IR retroactive to February 5th, meaning he will most likely play Wednesday.

Glad Sarich is back in. Need some physical presence. Need help on the PK also. I like Smith more than Butler, but Smith's game on Saturday was the worst out of the bunch of bad d-men they had.

Why are they so reluctant to sit Butler?
Still, having 7 healthy NHL D-men is a problem most teams would love to have. Hopefully Sarich throws some big hits

I am going to guess because the new coach does not think he is as bad as everyone on CP thinks he is....

I never said he was a bad player, just that he hasn't been noticeably better than Sarich or Smith this year. Yet he seems to be the preffered guy for the number 5 spot.

Good call sitting Smith. I like him but he stuck out as the worst on Saturday and that's saying quite a bit considering defence was lacking from top to bottom in the effort department. Give him a bit of a wake up call and have him back for the next game.

Tanguay needs to move to the wing, he's a terrible C against strong opposition.

Does anyone know whether they have actually tried Cervenka at center at all in practices? I would love to see Tanguay and Iggy on different lines for a change. They're the most annoying combo to me on the team right now.

Butler has been fine on the bottom pairing. Smith had the worst game out of all the bad d-men last game. It's the right move to replace Smith with Sarich.

I don't like Tanguay at center either, but Cervenka is nowhere near ready to be an NHL center. I am not convinced that we will see Cervenka at center at all this year.

If it ends up at a shootout then we all know that one point is our total for tonight. And I'm not putting that on Irving, but moreso on the fact that none of our shootout players seem to have any creativity.

I don't think Cervenka is ready to play center yet. I'm hoping it's just him getting back to game speed after a long layoff with the blood clot, but he looks really slow out there. I don't think he's ready for the defensive responsibility and extra skating that position entails in the NHL. I know his skating was one of the concerns with his game adapting to the NHL, but I wasn't expecting him to be that slow out there.
