Like I said earlier in the thread the Habs were really unfortunate to get the Rangers who nearly always win in the first round. Kind of sucks that the 2nd and 3rd place teams in the division got better draws than the division winner.

The fact that the Rangers have to ice Dan Girardi and Nick Holden probably offers a silver lining for Habs fans watching tonight. What a ####ing garbage fire those guys are.

Habs came out flying, took a nap in the second... and barely woke up for the third. Fluky goal was the winner, Lundqvist wasn't tested enough.

King was awful. Chucky won't end his slump playing with plugs like Ott and Martinsen.

I don't see anyone anything about Markov's spear to Nash's nuts. Markov should probably hear from the league for his stupidity.

It's worth a fine. That's about it.

Further to my earlier post, the Canadiens had 48 shot attempts last night towards Henrik Lundqvist at even strength. Dan Girardi was on the ice for 31 of them.

Radulov was a great addition by the Habs. I always thought his treatment for the incident in the 2012 playoffs by the hockey world was a overreaction. Sure it was stupid and selfish, but the media reaction was over the top. The Red Wings (Probert and Kocur in particular) did the same thing during the 88 Conference Finals against the Oilers. The media forgave the players a short time later.

It makes me wonder if it was the fact that Radulov is Russian, and chose to play in the KHL, was the real reason it has damaged his reputation in North America so much. Needless to say, great play by Radulov in OT to tie the series.

That was an exciting game and I was happy to see the Habs win it. I hope all three Canadian teams out east make it to the next round, it would make things a bit more exciting.

I think the habs are in tough though heading back to NY, they will be lucky to get a win there.
