Canucks fans, Flames fans, Oilers fans all came together as one and celebrated together after witnessing The Golden Goal.

I remember vividly watching the Canada Russia game. The Russians were heavily favored to win. I was rolling a giant jar of coin so I could buy some dinner. I can't count the number of times I was up and out of my seat with excitement, and coins flew everywhere. I couldn't tell you how much money went missing that day. (Pro-tip: it was about 20 bucks.) I was watching the game with my buddy from Russia, and he wanted to see Canada roll over Russia. He has most Russian players because, in his eyes, they take off a lot of games. He was more ecstatic than I was when we won.

It was my wifes 25th bday, watched it at jackasters by heritage. Wow that was an amazing day. Iggy creating the play was spectacular.

The best part of the play was Crosby yelling to Iggy for the pass

No, the OP had it right. Jarome deliberately shot the puck off Crosby's stick to singlehandedly win the Olympics (again) for Canada.

You're welcome, Planet Earth

It took me a few posts to realize what goal we were talking about.

I remember that. I was sick with the flu that day, and that just made my day seeing Canada win.

What a day!!!! Boy was i drunk!!!!! Winning the gold in OT was incredible. Having Iggy assist on the goal with a beauty pass was the cherry on top.

It was marvelous, probably wouldn't care as much if there wasn't a Flames player on the team.

I started jumping around the living room yelling "THE PUCK'S IN! THE PUCK'S IN!" And damn near put Mrs. Puppet into early labour.

I went to Bull & Finch to watch the game and said that if Canada wins, I'll eat the suicide wings.

Best wings I've ever tasted (completely not true. they were terrible)

It was a good day.

Great goal, went down to 17th to celebrate. Everyone was spilling out from the bars, if it wasn't for the cops blocking people from going on the road it would have been full on 2004-esque. Can't believe that was three years ago

Totally disagree, the beauty of international play is the ability to forget your NHL team bias/hatred and cheer for the best players the country can produce.

Yet, I kinda laughed when Luongo let in that back breaking tying goal late in the third.

My memory was a little fuzzy due to the excessive amounts of alcohol I consumed during the game. Funny enough my second daughter arrived exactly 9 months later. She probably wouldn't be here if we didn't win.
