I hate that Smash burger doesn't have the Colorado Burger in Calgary.

I went to Burger's Priest in Toronto. So good. Having the Priest (beef patty with a breaded patty that is two portobello mushroom caps with cheese stuffed inside) was so good. Now there's a reason to go to Edmonton.

You must have never eaten at Qdoba. Their Queso is way better than pump cheese. Although you Calgarians love your pump cheese. At the dome, on multiple occasions, I have witnessed people asking for full cups of pump cheese for their nachos. A FULL FREAKIN CUP OF IT! I was disgusted but then ultimately impressed that people could eat that much cheese.

So now in a 3 block span on 17th Ave they will have a KFC, Chicken on the Way, and a Popeye's? Isn't that racist?

I've eaten at Qdoba three times. It was no better than Mucho Burrito. The main thing I didn't like about it was that they always want to finish the burrito and wrap it up before you can get a chance to get vegetables on it as if they are trying to avoid having anything healthy in their food.
Commercial cheese sauce is disgusting. If the cheese sauce comes out of a can then I want no part of it. Real cheese or GTFO.

I actually think Mucho is horrible and love Qdoba. I guess different strokes for different folks. I think actually maybe I just love the taste of their chicken. If I could copy their chicken recipe I could just make the burritos at home. I also like that they have a coke freestyle machine at almost every store. Raspberry Coke Zero is soooooo good!

Admittedly, I didn't have the chicken so I may have been missing out. I wish the Coke Freestyle machines were in this neck of the woods with the same zero/low calorie options as the USA. A 50/50 mix of Cherry Vanilla Coke Zero/Cherry Vanilla Diet Dr. Pepper is like pop from another dimension.

Shake Shack's burgers and fries tastes better though, especially with their fried stuffed portabello mushroom (shack stack) burger. Their cheese sauce for their crinkle cut fries are awesome too. I haven't tried their shakes but I've heard they're awesome.
Has anyone been to Burger's Priest in Toronto and Edmonton? They are the closest to Shake Shack in my opinion. Delicious burgers!

Had Shake Shack at JFK last night - and they have a special bacon cheesburger right now where they use that cheese sauce on the burgers instead of a slice.
Dear lord.
So good.

My wife called me last week and told me the Edo's on 32nd Ave NE. She said it didn't have raspberry coke zero (bastards) but it did have cherry and vanilla.

There's a Freestyle machine at the Marlborough Mall EDO??
The only one I knew of in Calgary was at the Country Hills movie theater.
I wonder if they have Diet Barq's

I would fully support a crowdsourcing initiative to get you your own Freestyle machine.

Not the Marlborough Mall one. The one on the corner of 32nd and 32nd (in the same area as Nando's, behind the Mr Lube).
You can actually see the ad for the Freestyle machine in their window on Streetview: https://goo.gl/maps/cZm3qjg3BKk

Gus' fried chicken is the best fried chicken I've ever had. Expanding to quite a few places in the states. If anyone comes across one, go, do it and don't look back.
Same thing for the "Boise Fry Company" which is a lot smaller, but man, its a great fry place from Idaho.

There's a Coke Freestyle machine at the new Nando's on 17th Ave SW. Also, great chicken there.

Man you guys are hilarious. All these American fast food joints are 100% terrible. What you can get in Canada is generally much better.
Popeye's is only slightly better than KFC. It's far worse than Chicken On The Way or even Mary Browns.
Sonic is pretty much the same as Wendy's, but slightly worse.
In N Out is decent, but no better than Fatburger or 5 Guys.
Qdoba and Chipotle are much worse than Mucho Burrito.
Jack in the Box? Really? Most folks in America won't even eat that crap.

So back in March I was able to try In N Out and Shake Shack on back-to-back days (they both are on the same street in Austin), and I loved both for different reasons. The value for In N Out is unparalleled, and the customization options are amazing. Shake Shack is quality, top to bottom, and the shake is next level.
