When he is paired with Thornton, they are a handful for ANYONE to cover. That leaves Hertl open WAY too much. With Burns out, several players - mostly from the second or third lines have come in to fill the spot weakening the line that they leave behind.

To complicate matters, Havlat returns from a LONG injury layoff. Havlat doesn't have an obvious spot in the lineup. He's still off of game shape and they are still trying to find a way to fit him into the lineup. So far, he hasn't been on the same page as his linemates - he's been tried on each of the top three lines. He's showing improvement, but has a ways to go still.

So the sharks are not the smooth machine that they were in the beginning of the year. They need a good solid confidence building win. That should have been against Buffalo... should have been against Winnipeg... now they've had a couple of days off to regroup.

That win should come tonight.

If it does not <shudder> CGY could really hurt SJ here. CGY certainly has what it takes to get a couple of quick ones and put SJ on their heels. If CGY comes at them in waves and never lets them setup, it could be a nightmare for SJ.

This one will be a blow out, but I'm not sure who comes out on top.
Havlat will score two goals tonight. Guaranteed.

Just stop, you dug yourself a laughably large hole, everyone had a good laugh at your expense. Just let it die and everyone will forget who you are in a week.

The Flames have quite a few prospects right now. When I say Feaster is mismanaging this team, I mean that Knight and Hankowski should be up here on the main roster and Backlund, Jones, Galiardi and maybe even Sven down in Abbotsford.

What do they do up here?

Let's not use the term rebuild as an excuse to lose and tank, that was last year and it's done.

Well, jobhopper went full ###### and took over a thread again. Seems to happen quite often lately.

Anyways, good to see Stemps back and glad to see him playing with the young guys.

Gary Roberts on Hockeycentral Brain Trust, or whatever its called.

Said that Makarov and Fleury should be in the HHOF.

1989 Flames were the best hockey team ever.

Pretty sure you couldn't say that to my face or anyone else here for that matter, but carry on with your shameless butt kissing and throwing cheap thanks after everyone's post.

I love how jobhopper always mentions real life and how things would get physically if it wasn't the internet.

Just chill out. It's the internet and you're saying stupid things, and getting called on it. You have two options; Don't say stupid things, or; Accept the call outs when you do. Time to relax, partner.

Most people here actually agree with me. Maybe we need a moderator around here to get more people to actually post and not be intimidated by a bunch of trolls.

I don't think you're going to last long around here if this is how you react every time someone disagrees with you or pokes fun at one of your posts.

Trust me you don't want a moderator's attention right now, you're circling the drain.
