The match between Man United and Bournemouth at Old Trafford has been abandoned because of a bomb threat. Apparently they have found a suspect package in the corner between North Stand and Stratford End.

Well as expected one team showed up and out ran their opponents generating chance after chance showing that they still cared and had something to play for. Unfortunately for Spurs it wasn't them. Newcastle scores five and frankly I'm not sure Spurs had five legitimate chances. Way to back into the CL for next season.

Canadian U-20 international Fikayo Tomori just made his Chelsea debut. He captained the U-20 side to a 2-1 win against England in March.

Of course, he's also eligible for Nigeria, and possibly England, so we will spend the next year anxiously awaiting his cap tying.

Mike Keegan ‏@MikeKeegan_DM
I am told that the initial result of the controlled explosion at OT is that the device was an 'elaborate hoax'.

idiots.

Yes, congratulations on a hard fought victory against maybe the worst Pl side ever to secure second place. All is well and you should hold on to Wenger and leave everything alone!

So Liverpool finish 8th and fall short of the Europa League spots. It's either CL or no Europe at all next season.

People often say bad things about the EL, and that they would rather not be in it, but I don't agree with that. I'll be disappointed if we don't play in Europe next season. Wednesday will be intense.

^^ nothing wrong with Arsenal fans being happy about finishing ahead of their big rivals.

crazy stat of the day: Pochettino (70) finished with less points than Villas-Boas (72).

The "two-horse race" between Tottenham and Leicester sees...Spurs finish third.

Fixed.

Newcastle played harder than they have all season. They are also a club that was managed by Steve McClaren, whos last job was at derby county, where he was fired.. NUFC wanted to send the supporters away on a win. No stress, no pressure. They played incredible. Not to mention they beat tottenham at WHL this season as well.

Overall i think Tottenham have had an incredible season with that squad and their expectations. Arsenal had an OK season. I'm not a fan of either clubs, but I think Tottenham should be prouder of being 2nd for a good while and finishing 3rd on the final day than Arsenal should be with their season overall. Arsenal lost to Olympiacos and Dynamo Zagreb, nevermind their humbling at the hands of the 2 best clubs in the world. They should be aiming higher than just finishing above their rivals imo.

I also understand they are just happy to finish above their local rivals and have something to celebrate over the spurs fans.

PS Congrats to Leicester City. Their season has been breath taking and inspirational.

Assistant Chief Constable John O’Hare from Greater Manchester Police said: “I am grateful to the Manchester United and Bournemouth supporters for their support and assistance today.

“Following today’s controlled explosion, we have since found out that the item was a training device which had accidentally been left by a private company following a training exercise involving explosive search dogs.

“Whilst this item did not turn out to be a viable explosive, on appearance this device was as real as could be, and the decision to evacuate the stadium was the right thing to do, until we could be sure that people were not at risk. Everyone remained calm, followed instructions, and worked with officers and stewards to ensure that a safe evacuation was quickly completed. Those present today were a credit to the football family and their actions should be recognised.

“I would also like to thank all those involved in the operation today for such a professional response, which includes police officers, stewards, MUFC staff, media representatives and commentators and the Bomb Disposal Team.”

that makes sense considering that there has to be 1000 CCTV cameras outside OT so anyone bringing something in would surely be caught
