I could see Wideman getting traded, but I don't know if he'd get a first rounder in return. However, I won't second-guess Brad today.

I could see Detroit being desperate. Lots of teams could use Wideman honestly. With Hamilton now, Wideman becomes expendable.

I have it on good authority that Nick Merkley's agent has been telling people close to Merkley that his most likely destinations are/were Boston and Calgary. Both teams communicated to him that they were high on him.

Given that BOS now has 13/14/15, if he's still on the board, I would bet he's a Bruin in about 90 mins. Interesting to hear that the Flames liked him and had him in their crosshairs.
