2 hours and 51 minutes, quite the clay battle today.

throw elbows with the cheater talk during an interview, then take the former French Open champ down on clay a couple weeks later...frosty post match handshakes don't get much better than that

The "all business" Genie is the one who is a top 10 competitor.

The "world celebrity" Genie is the one who is a top 100 player.

Sounds like today it was all busines.

Gilles Simon defeated Gael Monfils in Madrid earlier today in one of the weirdest scorelines you will ever see - Monfils bagels Simon in the first set, Simon bagels Monfils in the second set, and the third set goes to a tie-breaker where naturally Simon wins all 7 points (yes, a bagel in the tie-breaker) to take the match.

Highlights and reactions: Bouchard vs. Sharapova

http://www.tenniscanada.com/highligh...-vs-sharapova/

Quote:
Bouchard leads the head-to-head record against Kerber 3-2 and is 2-0 on clay. Genie went on a three-match win streak against Kerber from 2014 to 2016: Roland Garros fourth round (2014), Wimbledon quarter-finals (2014) and the second round of the Italian Open in Rome (2016). Bouchard only dropped one set to Kerber in those matches.

yeah lot of upsets so far. Sock and Monfils are out. More surprising is that 3 Spainard dirtballers are out. Carreno-Busta, Ramos-Vinolas and Bautista-Agut

Milos next faces Gilles Muller and it sets up a potential tough 3rd round match against David Goffin if Milos can get by Muller.

Pospisil and Felix are both out in R16 in Seoul. Too bad they would have met in the quarters.

Schnur and Peliwo are in the QFs in their respective tournaments.

Yup, she wasn't moving well on that last changeover and decided to retire. Genie played well though, well deserved win.
