Stockton/San Jose AHL bench brouhaha
Ryan Hushka takes exception when Baracuda head coach Roy Sommer starting swinging at Heat players.
Crazy stuff going down.

He was restrained by his assistants, apparently.
I was listening to it on the online audio stream.

I wonder if this stems from Stortini kneeing Kylington last night.

You call that "hitting with a stick"? What is the coach doing reaching into the heat bench anyway? Ridiculous behavior for a coach.

Kinda thought Stortini was already standing on barren street corners with a 'free hugs' sign.

Seriously, the San Jose were swinging their sticks at the Stockton bench and the San Jose idiot 2nd closes to the bench was swinging his stick like an axe.
Sommer was acting like an idiot and reaching into the Stockton bench like he wanted to get at a player.

Haha! That's classic hockey right thur.
I can't believe the coach attacked the player on the ice. That's pretty sad and pathetic. He must feel like a big man hiding behind the bench with his roster of players swinging their sticks. I don't imagine he would fair well against one of those athletes on the ice 1-on-1

According to Twitter, it was Ryan Lomberg who said something that set Sommer off.

Nice. Although im sure it serves no player pleasure to beat on a 60yr old man, but I'm sorry, anyone willing to swing arms during a hockey game is open season. He's lucky Lomberg didn't crack him one. Lomberg is not a big man, but the guy works out regularly and I'm sure would do some damage to most 60yr old men.

The best part of this is your username and profile photo announcing the coach-involved brawl...
Aside from that before anything bad happens, the guy is crossing over into the Stockton bench toward the coaching staff when the Stockton player just raises his stick / arm to block his way. Everybody goes crazy after that...but no way is that on the Stockton player in my opinion.
