Sharks scored a PP goal and an ENG...Jones had a great game, as did Crawford...
The 'Hawks had another goal overturned, that would have given them a 1-0 lead in the 1st. Same scenario as the overturned goal in the Desert last week...'Hawk guy, OUTSIDE THE BLUE ICE, gets checked INTO the blue and the goaltender, and a shot from the outside arrives...I really thought that if the Defensive team pushes the guy into his own goalie, then, the goals SHOULD count. Really, IMO, unless an interference PENALTY is called, then, the goals should count...and, of course, if the DEFENSIVE team initiates the scrum, that pushes a guy into the crease, and if it is NOT the OFFENSIVE guy 's VOLUNTARY movement that causes the interference, then, this coach's challenge should NOT be won by the defensive coach.
Really, is the NHL going to set the precedent that will make the defense shoving the offensive screener into the defense's own goalie a guaranteed successful goal prevention tactic? Not to wish an injury to an NHL player, but, a goalie WILL eventually go down, with this recurring play.
In any event, the 'Hawks just couldn't generate much against Saint Joe, this time, but still took the season series, overall.
