Calgary would have the honour of bringing Stanley home. Hows that for patriotism

Landslide for me. I'd be okay with Canada finishing last in every olympics if it meant the Flames won one cup. Could care less about the Olympics.

Nope. As much as I would have loved to win the Cup in 2004 (it was in) a gold medal on home ice transcends the NHL and the Flames.

I was more excited when the Flames clinched the playoffs last year than when they won in 2014 or 2002. 2010 was special because it was overtime against the US, but even still, Stanley Cup and it's not even close.

2004 would have been all kinds of amazing, but, as odd as it may sound, on a personal level both the 2002 and 2010 win were life-changing.

2014? Sure. But those other two are too tough to give up.

Gold medals for a Canada or a cup for the Flames?

Hmm...

Awesome question. My first instinct was "no" - 2010 was probably the best hockey moment I've ever been a part of. And it was shared with 30 million people rather than just how many ever flames fans there are (400,000? Who knows). But then again, had we won in 2004, maybe it would have been better.

Two birds in hand for who knows how many in the bush?

Sakic, Luongo, Doughty, Toews, Crosby... these are guys that were expected to win Gold. So when they won it, yeah it was nice, but it was more like an A student getting an A+. "Good Job".

Conroy, Gelinas, Kipper, Regehr, Simon, Yelle, Leopold, Donovan, Saprykin, Nilson, Nieminen, Commodore, Montador, Ference, Warrener - the 2004 Flames were the ultimate team with Iggy as the lone established superstar. Nothing about that roster says they're supposed to get an A, but they got an A. They just missed the A+ due to beyond-crappy ice in Tampa Game 7.

Nope. 2010 was an amazing time. Not just the hockey gold but the whole two weeks. If Canada had not won, it would have put a negative spin on the entire Olympics.

I'll take a 2010 gold and 2018 cup.

Now here's another question, cup in 2003-04 or cup in 2014-15?

I wouldn't trade the last playoff series win against the Canucks for every gold medal Canada has ever won.

A Stanley cup? I'd trade my first born.

I don't even have to think about it. Chances for Canada to win the gold happen more often than chances for the Flames to win the Cup.

Every single time. A team of all-stars vs the hard working bunch of schlubs that carried through a magical run. Flames > Canada.
