Okay guys, try finding how many shots on goal took place in either of the games yesterday.
Try to figure out who led the tourney in points.
Try to figure out who assisted on Johnny's goal in the first game.
I mean it's the all star game but I assume the format is the same for regular season games. They've made this site completely non-functional for anyone who cares about anything besides game scores. It looks prettier and it doesn't ####ing work.

I voted yes, but really don't care. I usually go to espn.go.com/nhl anyway

Why does every web site now feel that they need to look like a Twitter or instagram feed, because that is exactly how the new site looks to me. They seems to have gone for the theory that if they make everything bigger they won't need as much content to fill the same amount of space.
Didn't the NHL hand over the redesign and running of the site to the people who do MLB.com??

Eesh.
Hover over 'Stats' or 'Standings' on the main page, and take a gander at all that wasted, ugly space, with just a bit of text in it. That's web design 101 there.
Meh.

Anybody here get an update for Android, iOS or Blackberry?

I've checked on my Android phone, my previous Android phone, my iPod Touch, and my iPad - no dice.

I kind of like how it's different but I don't like that it just looks like so much wasted space. Overall I guess it's better but it's worse in different ways.

For testing purposes I went and looked up Giordanos goal from the Nashville game. Video quality seems down, and the available video sizes are now either too big or too small.
I voted worse because I liked the black background over the new white one.

I notice that too now. The streaming is smoother for me, but even at the highest quality the picture is noticeably worse than it was before. Not so clear.

I have/had a NHL Gamecenter subcription.
Do I need to subscribe for NHL TV?
I can login with my current account, but I can't access any video/game content.
According to this link I need to upgrade my subscription.
https://subscribe.nhl.com/international
The support of NHL.com is really terrible, so I hope someone can help me.
Thanks!

Well this is a big one for me regarding the new streaming:

Latency delays will be reduced between the TV broadcast and the live stream on Rogers NHL GameCentre LIVE™ so that fans can watch games closer to real time.

Sucks being way behind when watching a game.

Just a reminder that a deal with MLBAM and the NHL was signed back last year. Hence the imminent changes. The NHL also needs to keep up with the likes of the new formats with Sportsnet and TSN. Not a fan of big and blocky, but it seems the world is turning to these layouts.

So does this mean GameCentre will stream in higher res now? Because it looks like pixellated garbage currently.

No.
Too much white space. Looks clunky.
The banner ads are way too big. It's like the ads are the stories.

They should focus on getting the streams to run smoothly first. Resolution doesn't matter when the game freezes every 30 seconds so it can load.

God I hate the need to plaster video and images over everything while creating tons of wasted space. When I want headlines, that is what I am asking for. Give me a list of headlines. Don't make me scroll endlessly through junk pictures and video links.
Everything about the site is about making you scroll longer to get the same information. The Scores page is worse, news headlines is much worse. Stats is largely unchanged after the landing page. Standings is a little cleaner, so there is that.
The schedule page is god awful. Nothing but wasted white space, and the single team schedules are horrible. You used to be able to see a team's entire home or away schedule on one screen page. Now my laptop can only fit THREE GAMES on one page.
Other than the wasted white space, I would say the player profile pages are quite a bit better though.

I feel like someone with horrible eyesight made this site. Everything is SO BIG.
The white space is ridiculous too. This may be something that I could put together using some CSS template online. I mean look at this...:
Honestly, if it looks like crap but works faster, that's a win. If it still loads slow, then they've gone backwards. I already don't like the layout of the BoxScores, the huge boxes/lettering, the wasted space/white-space, the click here to click there to click on this to get the content you actually wanted, and I miss the black-theme...
