No, Justin Williams and Dustin Penner also find him annoying.

Call me crazy but am thinking Matthews is more talented than McDavid.

Exactly. There seems to be an emerging storyline that the Oilers had some kind of rebuilding master plan and it pisses me off.
McDavid has been kept in check pretty well during these playoffs and if Talbot isn't the first star the Oilers lose.
Simple as that.

I gotta say, Hughson is pretty good when he's not doing Nucks games. Unlike Randorf, he doesn't feel to need to cream his pants every time McDavid is on the ice, and he calls a pretty even game for the most part.

McDavid is in a league of his own when it comes to footspeed and his ability to handle the puck at that breakneck speed.
He has a surprisingly terrible shot though. Matthews is better at slower speeds IMO, with a much better shot.
That highskill level at top speed is almost impossible to defend though from what we've seen.

That first angle looks like it's high.
Of course it will count.
Why is SNET acting like Carlyle is challenging the highstick? That's not possible. It's a normal highstick NHL review, not a challenge.

What a surprise. Team lottery ball gets dominated all period and the the hockey gods give them a fluke ass goal.

Sure looked a tad high. But you know, it's not he Flames so they'll review it for 10 seconds and it'll count.

See, I don't understand this. If you hit the puck with a high stick, which it sure looked like it was, and your team touches the puck, it's typically whistled dead.
However, if it's deflected off a player and into the net, it's a goal.
Of course, the NHL has no idea what a high stick is anyway unless a player whips his head back like he took a forearm shiver to the jaw.

When the NHL re-defined the meaning of a high stick in the first round you know that will count.

Brutal start by the Oilers. Ducks came to play for sure.
Have chance now just being down 2 after 1.

NHL media is usually pretty active on twitter for Oilers games, wonder why they're so quiet right now.
