this is kind of a weird question, but when i read that article yesterday, i was wondering why at the end it specifically mentions syracuse?

For a second consecutive year, the Flames will not face Syracuse or any Eastern Conference opponents.

am i missing something there?

Because Syracuse has john the nasty mirasty on the team. thats why and everyone wants to see prust or pelech hand him his lunch.

Syracuse is the only team in the Northern division that the Flames don't play.

As far as Mirasty goes, he would have little trouble with either Prust or Pelech.

that makes sense. for some reason i was thinking they were in the eastern conference. guess it helps to look this stuff up! i say to heck with the northern division, lets just play iowa 15 more times!!!! i must say playing them 6 times in 30 days at the end of the year was a bit on the boring side.
