At the deadline, maybe on Williams but not right now. Would like the Flames to give the guys they have now a shot. No to Vrbata.

Both surprisingly productive for 35+ guys, but I am not sure how cheap they would be. I would say they would be in competition for the Versteeg spot for sure.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

I'd be glad with bringing in either of them to play on the top line, but certainly not to play on the third line... these guys will be relatively expensive, while a guy like Versteeg should cost about 2 million max...
Prefer Vrbata to Williams, to be honest.

I'd rather they wait to pick up a veteran at the trade deadline. That way they will better know what their needs are on the team.

Don't want any old expensive players at this point.

Vrbata will sign here. He's one old guy Chayka likes.

I believe in the Jays.

On a 1 year deal deal sure either would be fine (Would prefer Williams of the two).

Interesting, I would prefer the slightly younger much more healthy Justin Williams. He has missed 6 total games in the past 6 seasons while producing and being known as a playoff performer. Vrbata may cost you less...but I like what you pay for in Justin Williams(Three Time Stanley Cup Champion).

Adding a former Conn Smythe winner who scored 48 points at age 34 is not a bad idea at all. One year at most

I would love to see another player like Frolik, maybe with a little more offensive upside. If they can produce, I don't mind spending 4 mil on a 1 or 2 year deal. Just like Smith, it could be a good stop gap solution. I think we have a great mixture of youth and experience. If Bennett fails to progress at the centre position we can move him to the wing, that would open up more options on the free agent market as we could either grab a centre or a wing.

Meh, Vrbata is a better scorer on a worse team, and I think he's more likely to be brought in anyway due to his connection with Treliving.

Quite surprised to see that both guys had productive years last year. Very productive all things considered.Maybe a little less surprised with Williams given his teammates but still.

My sens with Tre is even though he makes bold moves, he makes bold moves that will make sense for more then a year or two. I have my doubts that he's going to bring in guys like these, since they're not in the core age group.

No to Vrbata. This guy can only play in AZ.
Williams maybe as a deadline pick up assuming we are in a playoff position.

For long-term acquisitions, maybe. But any good GM is going to have to use short term deals to round out the roster. Now is the time to start rotating in guys like the above mentioned.
