Ah fuuuuuuuuuu.

So up the hill there and cross 16th at 6th street? I guess I can also stay east of Deerfoot and go south at 19th street to 8th avenue and cross over there.

Yeah, I'd take 8th.

For an intersection that has bike baths up to 3 of the 4 corners, is there any intersection that is more hostile to bikes than Barlow/McKnight?

Seriously, several years ago, I had kids in the bike trailer trying to navigate it. Now everytime I drive through there, which is almost every day, I think of how terrible it is.

I'm sure it is a deterrent for many people trying to bike from North of McKnight to pretty much anywhere.

My knee surgery has been scheduled for May 30th! I'll be able to be back on a bike in June! The last time I was able to ride was August 13th, so I'm really looking forward to it. I won't be ready for the Penticton fondo, but I'm aiming for the Whistler one in September. Actually at this point I'm just looking forward to biking to lunch on a weekend.

Looks like they cleaned the South Bow River paths of rocks. Really noticeable under the Deerfoot bridge by Quarry Park.

^ I noticed this as well.

I wonder when they will have those two spots along the path fixed?

Took a detour up this morning and at 8:30 it appeared that the pathway was not closed yet, and as other posts have mentioned it wasn't closed yesterday late afternoon either. Grinds my gears, if you're going to post a closure at least try to stick to the schedule. I think I'll toss the dice this afternoon and head down that way and take my chances, worst case I climb the hill at the Midfield trailer park to detour.
