7 goals and counting. No better way to start the season.

Ground has to be one of the most under appreciated players in the league. Arsenal fans slag him a lot but his goal scoring record is pretty impressive, especially considering how little he cost.

I think/hope Arsenal fans will start to appreciate Giroud more now that we have Lacazette.
Giroud got a lot of grief because we've lacked a mobile, attacking striker for years. Never his fault but he'd get the blame for the club's missing element in attack.
I'm excited to see how the 2 can form a partnership and compliment each other.

The role he's in now is perfect as a plan b and option vs some clubs
I don't think he's a great solo striker especially surrounded by Sanchez
But I do think there is merit to why he plays over lacazette for France, he's creating space for griezzman in the middle
If arsenal used him in the same way he would be super successful
It's a weird comparison to say but to me he's a better, much better Emile Heskey, the stuff he does off the ball opens up so much around him even if his own goal total isn't as high as the strikers for the other top clubs

Giroud as a starter is effective in fits and starts. He is the perfect player to have as part of the squad. Acceptable as a starting striker when it is needed and incredibly effective when coming on as a sub.
Giroud is a real asset to Arsenal. The striking set up should win Arsenal a few extra points this season. Just as the defensive set up will cost us.
What a fun game to start the season. I love the idea of a Friday night game.

Another wildly entertaining game to start the year, although Liverpool fans are used to this movie I'm sure.

disagree. Was a bit harsh, but also an incredibly stupid tackle. Could have easily resulted in a nasty leg break.

That new City goalkeeper is horrible. I expect him to concede a number of slapstick goals this season.

The David Luiz goal in the Chelsea match was a thing of beauty.
They will be fine.
No Hazard, Pedro or Moses. A lot to overcome after the careless play by Cahill
