I was ripped off by an ebay seller..........

Could you send a picture of the inside of the Iggy jersey. There are a lot of jerseys coming out of China and they are junk. I would like to see the stitching. I might be interested depending on what I see.

Thanks

cough-knockoff-cough...

Quote:
Me and a friend bought these from someone on through ebay and the seller sent the wrong size. We are having issues getting our money returned to us, paypal says there is nothing they can do. We are just looking to get what we originally paid for them.
I see about 3 or 4 red flags in that post; I would be very careful if you're interested in one of these... as Gordo mentioned, there are a lot of fakes on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/BNWT-Calgary-Flam...mZ260357162981

http://cgi.ebay.ca/1913-Montreal-Can...mZ220351073189

(I couldn't find any examples of a white #46 Kostitsyn, only a red #46 and a white #74)

Legalities aside, if someone wants to pay less for a lower quality knockoff, then I'm not one to judge. But considering these cost of these is as low as $30 each in Asia, I would hate to see someone on CP get ripped off by someone who just signed up for a CP account today

P.S. I'm pretty sure selling bootlegs, especially when you post comparative NHL.com prices in the post, is against the rules of the Buy/Sell forum:

Quote:
No pirated/bootleg/illegal software sales/trades allowed.

No scamming. Scamming is misleading the buyer or seller for the purposes of profiting. This may include selling something that is faulty or knowingly misrepresenting the quality of the item to inflate the price. If you scam, you will be banned and reported to the authorities. If you feel you have been scammed, please contact the mods.

Alright, I honestly don't know and we seriously bought them off someone. The seller is being a total doucebag about everything.

I dont know how to tell at all and im currently emailing gordo asking him how to tell.....so dont accuse me of scamming until you know the facts. Thanks.

I am acutely aware that it is possible that you bought these thinking they were authentic. I'm sure gordo will be happy to inform you of whether they are -- he's pretty knowledgeable when it comes to jerseys

However, the fact that you signed up for an account in order to sell jerseys that are known to be counterfeited means you don't get the benefit of the doubt. I would rather post that this is a possible scam rather than have someone here get ripped off.

I know nothing about the stitching process but it has a bit of white backing between the stitches which shouldn't be there if it was done and any decent shop. It also has side slits which are only on replica jerseys.

My friend was telling me about the jersey he got for Christmas from his GF. I looked at it and it was similar to the one being sold. He only wore it a few times and it looked bad already. Definitely lacking quality.

If the seller was a fraud he wouldn't have emailed me the pics so readily. I am pretty sure he is the one that got rooked.

I don't think anyone was implying that the new poster was the fraud, just the original ebay seller.

OH crap haha, i never even thought about just signing up, im sorry.

I do apologize i really didnt know they were fakes and if i knew i certainly wouldnt have tried to sell them as NHL jerseys. How the hell do these people get all the authentic tags and the RBK logos and all that?

Its fake, pretty sure. The collar is all wrong. Look at this link and click to see whats its supposed to look like on the zoom. Also the "C" seems way to shiny, and flimsy.

edit: The top picture on the item is not the same as the others.

See what happened was, we got that one right and then asked if he had any Habs ones. Paypal is currently telling us they cant do anything. If we say that he is selling knockoffs, will that give us a chance at refunds?
