True, but in fairness hes not being an ass about it. It isnt really fair to lump him in with the rest of those degenerates.

Other than his chosen team to support. Thats 100% on him. Thats fair.

Exactly. Not that particular poster, but so many of them are walking around like they're gonna win the cup and that we're destined for the basement.

6-7 games man...already they're pulling out the "we're so great" card after a decade of being the worst team in hockey. Just unbelievable arrogance.

Yet 6-7 games here on CP, we're talking about trading gio & hamilton + firing GG & Tre.

we're no better at times haha

Every team has 6-7 game stretches of good and bad hockey over a given season.

Don't tell Oilers fans that though. Nothing can tarnish their accomplishment so far.

And of course they should be.

Exactly, and I ridicule those posters the same way I would ridicule Oiler fans claiming they're finally good. There's still a lot of hockey to play before any claims can be made.

I think props need to be given to Talbot, though. He held the fort there and closed out some Ws while the team played some spotty games in front of him. They've obviously gained confidence from his play and it's helped them string a few together.

I had my doubts about him, but he rebounded very well from that 6-2 drubbing that probably normally would've led to another few losses for that team in past years. I was almost certain the wheels would fall off there, and they could've if not for Talbot.

shocking revelation that is
I'm saying there plus 7 goal differential is acually even so at best assuming they have the highest PDO of any team they are a bubble playoff team and likely should be sitting with a -2 goal differential. Which projecting out is No Good.

So they will be in 10-14th spot in the west as things balance out.

He's a season ticket holder with half a dozen new vehicles. Using his son to spin a sob story about hardship and tough luck. Maybe the 48 hour rule is silly but this guy reeks of traditional Coilers no goodness.

His Facebook profile was public at the time where this story first went viral. Several people commenting on it alluded to these things as well as him flying to Toronto for Jays games. Unfortunately his profile was private by the time I went to check it out but there seemed to be enough outraged people that I don't doubt the truth behind it.

The Oiler Gestapo probably ran through his trash and tailed him to learn all about him so they could get ammo for the PR battle. Probably spent 65k.

Couldn't agree more. 2 days? Get lost.

Who he is (or the sob story) is irrelevant imo

He purchased a winning ticket in good faith. Now unless the 48hr window is boldly proclaimed in some manner, 4 days later does not seem unreasonable delay. Bad PR too with optics of weaseling out of paying.

I like how the article mentions Calgary by contrast 30 days.

I agree, give the guy his money. Change the rule to 30 days like the Flames, seems silly.
