What would be the minimum returns you would accept?
For Tanev, Hanifin rather than lose them for nothing by not trading them.
So if it came down to the wire on trade deadline day and it was either take it or leave it, we are passing the trade deadine and no more time to do anything.
Curious what people’s “acceptable” line is for those two.

Tanev: a 2nd. That's what the talking heads think, that's fair if all else fails.
Hanifin? There has to be a Center under 24 OR a1st. If they land a center, then another prospect works. If it's the 1st, then a couple.prospects. that's the lowest.

I'm not worried so much about myself or other fans minimum packages as much as I trust that the minimum packages are not insignificant and that Conory will trade both.

Anything, since the alternative is they're free agents.
Luckily they're both good players on good contracts, so teams will be interested.

My minimum expectations:
Tanev - A conditional 2nd round pick that turns into a 1st round pick if the team makes it to the second round of the playoffs. Plus, a young prospect or roster player with some pedigree. The price goes up significantly if the other team is the Oilers.
Hanifin - A conditional 1st round pick not lottery protected (Flames get to decide at the drafts if they want the 2024, 2025, or 2026 pick), plus a young roster player.
Markstrom - A conditional 1st round pick, young roster player, and a prospect. The flames would decide at the draft whether they want a 2024, 2025, or 2026 pick.

I have faith that Conroy will make make the trades and get the best deal possible.

Tanny: 2nd + B prospect
Hanny (signed/intent to sign): 1st + 2nd + A- prospect
Hanny (pure rental): 1st + 3rd + B prospect
Marky (unretained): good young roster player + B prospect + 2nd or 3rd
Marky (50% retained): good young roster player + equivalent of 1st

I'm usually pretty bad at guessing the values of players but I feel like hanifin and markstrom have to get you a pretty good return, like 1st + prospects.

Your chance of getting a non-lottery protected draft pick (that goes out 3 years) is likely zero. If that’s your minimum, expect to walk Hanifin to UFA.

The least I'd take...
Marsktrom (without retention) - Holtz
Tanev (without retention) - 2nd
Hanifin (without extension and without retention) - 1st and B prospect

I agree, although I would be stunned if that’s all they get.
Marky I think does not get traded.

All 3 of those are too low.
Tanev will get a 1st or a 2nd + a medium prospect
Hanifin will get a 1st and a quality prospect (and likely a 3rd piece)
Markstrom won't be traded unless the return is better than that, and nor should he.
I suspect there will be one more trade as well, but I have no idea whit will be.

You missed the question: What's the least you would take?
The question was not what will they get?

Hanifin was a 4 or 5 OA pick? I want the equivalent back. Obviously not an actual 4 or 5 OA, but whatever the equivalent is in pick and prospect math.

The least I'd accept is literally a bag of pucks for Hanifin and Tanev. They are both leaving so a bag of pucks is better than nothing so if that is best offer out there - then I'd take it.
Markstrom - you have to meet my price since he's still under contract. That said - I'd prefer to move him now rather than later and risk him turning back into a pumpkin.
I don't buy the argument that accepting a low offer means you somehow have to get suckered on every subsequent trade.

Rentals will go what they go for. After the Lindholm trade I’m not too worried about Conroy whiffing.
More interesting question is the non-rentals for me.
Markstrom - 1st or 2nd and a good prospect/young roster player.
Mangiapane - 3rd
Sharangovich - 2nd + b prospect
Kuzmenko - 3rd
Kadri - free to a good home at full cap
Andersson and Weegar - 1st plus a good prospect.

those were the least I would take. I don't believe in giving assets away for less than current market value.

I still can't believe the haul Conroy got for a rental in Lindholm. Canucks must think they'll be able to re-sign him but that would be buh-bye Petterson (IMO).
I'm on train "Hanifin and Tanev are UFA's so anything is better than nothing" but Conroy has already proven me wrong and he can get more!
