whats wrong with our team?

I know people will jump on this and say its too early but we saw what a deep hole we dug ourselves last year. This year our team seems to put no effort offensively and we cannot create anything. At least last year in our tough stretches we had glimpses of great play but goal-tending let us down. I believe our defensive depth is poorer than we think. We really only have 3 top 4 dman and 2 of them are pretty mediocre defensivly (giordano,hamilton). Our offense is garbage so far outside of frolik backlund and gaudreau. Whats the problem and what would you do to change it?

at least we are having ok secondary scoring. If the top line gets going i think we can start to win. And shore up that defense

That is not it, most experts saw them as a wildcard team on paper. They simply have zero chemistry right now. They look clueless out there.

Have barely watched the team early this season, so this is largely an uneducated opinion.
Best players have been their worst players. That goes on D and F.
Lack of two key guys largely missing most of training camp coupled with just poor execution.
NO team will win when their best players are being badly outplayed consistently.

Darryl Sutter is due to get fired at any moment. It may or may not even be his fault, but his days in LA are clearly numbered.

As soon as that happens, Treliving, you know what to do.

Top players are playing as our worst players. Which has led to the effectiveness of our powerplay. Giordano, Gaudreau, Monahan and Brodie need to turn things around quick. Without them playing with any type of cohesion this long season is only going to get longer.
