Hey guys, I'm the POTUS and I should probably say a word of sympathy for the police that were killed, because nobody respects law enforcement or women, like Trump. But instead I will tell everyone how right I am about terrorists, and stoke the flames of xenophobia while spreading my Bannonesque vision of a world over run with Muslims.

Yep, shooting 59 missiles at an airbase in Syria that did what? (Hint, nothing) and dropping the biggest non nuclear bomb in history to take out some 60 or so terrorists in the desert, was very awesome.
At least he didn't kill any civilians or American soldiers this time, so I guess it was a success.

I think Islamic terrorist attacks and lax immigration are doing more in that department.

I don't believe your virtue signalling is honest, I think you just use it as a means to throw shade at Trump.

If one big bomb could kill 90+ terrorists without hurting a civilian I hope he drops one every day of the week, hell twice on sundays.

How do you define a terrorist though, not every single guy in the middle of a desert is a risk to the United States or their allies. If anything flippantly dropping bombs on people is going to do more to damage relations. A metered response is necessary to prevent attacks in the future. The greater the interference the greater the potential of radicalizing the local population against you.

In many of the cases anyone who associates with a terrorist is considered a terrorist, including families.

Not to derail this thread any further but tell that to bin laden.

On topic this attack is another senseless tragedy, all these cowards are trying to do is get a response that can be used to manipulate people into joining their cause.

If it's brown, drop it down. If it's yellow, close enough, fellow.

Uh, he's clearly the least crazy of all of the people who are running.

He's also, sadly, right.

Yeah, that doesn't seem like a "crazy" thing to say. Of course these attacks are going to continue.

Anyway, I knew (and still really don't know much more than) nothing about the pending election in France, but this article seemed like a pretty good summary of the candidates and issues.

I think we need to stop reporting these the way we do to keep perspective.

Caveat: I understand we can't for many reasons, I just think we need to.

By making this world renowned news, it moves needles in policy decision towards ideas that are reckless, bad for world peace, and not based in fact.

By making this small act a large message, you embolden those with messages we don't care to hear. This wasn't hard to do, nor was it particularly deadly. The effect was perfect. Some sound bites from world leaders and more pressure to "act".

In reality, more people in the US have died because of climate change. More have died because of the opiate crisis. More are dying because of vaccine preventable diseases. Hell, more people probably died of heat stroke in the last year on the Champs Elysees. There's literally thousands of things to be preoccupied with over this. This shouldn't move any needles.

Not only is this not something to be "terrorized" over, it's not worth discussion.

I was really looking forward to reading that article, but it is behind a paywall. Is there any other articles that describes the candidates and issues?

You want some tissues?

When Le Pen wins the scum is gone, I know people like you will want them in Canada and with spineless leader shiny pony at the helm they'll be here in no time.

After enough bombs drop maybe just maybe these associates/families will learn a little trick to stay alive. sorry but the world is gone to crap, if people feel the need to associate with terrorists they need to feel like they're walking on egg shells.

Mass shootings in the USA are now just a constitutional fact of life but for the life of me I can't get with the program on Trump being a racist!

I can get where he suffers from xenophobia or bigotry towards people prominently from Muslim country's but that still doesn't make him a racist preacher.

I get that Trump is a narcissistic spoon fed moron but I just can't get behind the term racist just because he thinks the radical muslims are evil or mexicans sneaking across the border aren't good for the country. If you took a worldwide poll I think 90% would agree with him.
