[Trade] Jake Muzzin Traded to the Coyotes
Philly and Phoenix hooked up for a quick and easy trade.
To the Yotes:

We don't love this trade but it was a necessary evil due to cap issues. We really wanted to bring back Bishop on the cheap and think that will be a great contract once he wins the Vezina in Dallas. We didn't have the cap space though. We didn't want to lose Muzzin but the alternative was Jamie Benn or Jaden Schwartz. I didn't want to lose either of those guys just yet.
We now have enough money to keep the rest of our roster intac, bring back Bishop and keep Benn on the top line with Backstrom and Laine. Matthews gets to stay one more year in the ECHL to offset the salary increases he and Laine will need in a couple of years.
Our D is not the best in the league, but still decent and we hope the front loaded forward group can make up for that.
Phoenix gets a top line D and it only cost a first, so it was a win-win for both teams.
