Officially first and fourth round picks. That is a pretty brutal deal. They probably could have had Butt-Fumble at a cheaper price for a comparable QB.

Gotta sympathize with Vikings fans, 7 days ago there was hope abound new stadium, rising team, and now things are hinging on the most injury prone QB in recent memory, who they badly overpaid to get. I said it before, but they should have gone full tank to get Watson. By about week 7 I imagine many Vikings fans will be thinking the same.

I look at some of these deals for QB's and wonder how the Chiefs got Alex Smith for a second round pick and a conditional pick where they had to make the playoffs after going 2-14 for that condition to be met.

I mean I'm taking the more proven boring ass game manager who's generally been pretty healthy over Bradford any day.

One thing about Andy Reid...I don't know too many other guys out there who have managed the QB's they had better than him. Drafted McNabb, developed him, used him and threw the grenade just before it exploded. Traded Kevin Kolb for a good return, rehabilitated Michael Vick, and drafted Nick Foles who eventually built up good trade value...than got him for nothing later on.

No doubt though....a week ago I though Minnesota looked like a playoff team. Today, I don't think so, and worse, they parted with a couple good picks to look that way. They're not Cleveland, but they've had some good teams over the years but just can't seem to take that last step.

Chiefs gotta love this trade too, because since the Chiefs have Nick Foles, the most NFL ready backup QB there is, all of a sudden one more QB injury and the Chiefs might end up signing Foles for nothing, and flipping him for a mid to high round pick.

Christmas came early for the Eagles. They had an Eagles beat writer on this morning and he was giddy and totally shocked they could get this kind of return for Bradford. From the Vikings perspective Bradford is under contract for two years so they can start next season not having to worry about Bridgewater's recovery so it makes some sense. My issue is that Sam Bradford is so middle of the road and not the type of talent worthy of a 1st round pick. I don't see him being a lot better than say Josh McCown who surely could have been had for less. Seems like a bit of a panic move by the Vikings to which I don't think were ever real Super Bowl contenders in the first place with Bridgewater.

If there was ever a system that could minimize Bradfords downside it would be the pass-phobic Vikings.

Price is high. If they Vikes let AP run the offence like they do I think they'll win more then they'll lose. Making the pick in 20s with that defense. All they need to do is beat out a NFC west team for a wildcard spot, east sucks, south has the panthers and maybe the bucs.

They had to do something, I wouldve gone for Glennon but Tampa might be asking for too much for him.

This might be a win-win for both teams.

What a terrible trade for the Vikings. Gave up a first for a QB they basically already had on the roster.

Name Cmp% TD% INT% Y/A QBR
Bradford 60.1 3.6 2.6 6.5 81
Hill 62 4.1 2.5 6.8 85

Wentz is the presumed starter if he is healthy come next Sunday.

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/1...week-1-healthy

So...trade your starter, make a rookie who hasnt taken a snap in a month your new starter....and expect anything other than to destroy the guys confidence there-by setting back your franchise yet again?

Sounds like a real Eagles plan all right.

Wow! I'm take it for sure. Bradford was one and done here anyways, to get a 1st is unreal.

Dont see it. This is a much bigger blow than that. I think the Giants and Saints both become better teams than the Vikings with Bradford. I think Philly did well here and may be looking at two picks in the top 10 going into the draft next year.

Lol, I like how this happened ten minutes after I bought tickets to Eagles/Browns next weekend. Can't wait for the Chase Daniel experience.

Sanchez has been cut by Denver and apparently Dallas is going to sign him. I'm hoping he is just going to be in a backup role because I want to see what Prescott can do this season.

If the broncos knew they were cutting Sanchez I'm slightly irked they cut Colquitt. I know they're against the cap but special teams will be more important than normal and the rookie they drafted has shankitis so far. You'd think the Sanchez savings would cover colquitt.

As an Eagles fan, I really hope Sanchez starts every game for Dallas.

The Steelers have acquired CB Justin Gilbert from Cleveland for a 2018 6th rounder. Was 8th overall in 2014, so who knows. Might be low risk, high reward. They managed to turn Ross Cockrell into a very solid corner, maybe they can get Gilbert going as well.
