Oh my.......really?
I can deal with a track here and there. Beats are good....words are lost on me. Refuse to go to this 2point9 thing, don't need to see Jay Sean that badly. Know TONS of people who are going.
NEVER EVER did I think I'd see a thread like this on here.

Yeah, there was lots of Calgary represent for UK Flava.
I'd imagine there being plenty for 2point9.
I'm saving my money for Jazzy B and Dr. Zeus.
Some REAL high quality talent.

My thoughts exactly. When my bro told me there was a desi music thread on here, I cracked up.
Don't listen to alot myself, but a little bit sometimes I guess. Isn"t Jazzy B coming to Calgary too? Thought I heard that somewhere.

I doubt it. We never get high quality punjabi shows.......instead, we get Bollywood stars, which are okay, if you're into it.

Theres actually a pretty big show in Waterloo Ont. today that some of my friends went to .. I believe Sukshinder Shinda, Rishi Rich etc.
Though I'm a big bhangra fan, its more dancing than listening than actually knowing who it is.

Desi loosely means people of South Asian descent or background (ie. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka). Not sure if its a proper dictionary term or just a slang people, mainly desi's themselves, call one another.

Anyone hear any rumours about Shinda coming to Calgary?
Him and Lehmber Husseinpuri are coming to Vancouver and Edmonton in December, so I'm guessing he'll come here too?

I am a big fan of Hindi/Punjabi music. I am from Calgary and come from a european background but I can sing in perfect Hindi and am looking to become a playback singer. I dont even listen to much English music anymore because I love desi music so much and can understand the lyrics.
